So who's the one who is supposed to block Troy Vincent who blocked the FG in the skin game ? I wonder any interview with him.

Watching the video is heart-breaking.
It doesn't sounds like just one guy who's responsible ? like every skins can just climb on top of the boys defence and raise up hands for it. There definitely should be some media chasing the responsible guys down and interview them.

I asked this in a the similar FG thread.... did it look like there was such a collapse that Colombo went to wear he saw everyone coming over the top and he was trying to clear the middle of the line for Vandy?

All I know is he was to take the inside guy 1st. The guy to your inside is the nearest rout to the kicker. Colombo has to do his job and not worry about the job of others on that play.

So basically just muffed HIS assignment... gotcha!

Good question and I don't know if it would or would not have been blocked. According to Vandy he hit it well which should have given him enough height to clear the guys up the middle but we will never know for sure.

But you don't have to double-team the inside guy, and let the outside guy run in untouched...

Hopefully the team is keeping it together and not getting to the point of finger pointing at each other. Maybe the only saving grace is very few guys had any room to talk about someone else making a mistake when they had their own mistakes to worry about.

Ok...I don't post much but I do read the forum all the time and think you have great input. I wanted to say something about that blocked field goal. My friend at work (Commanders fan) showed me an article his dad sent him from a beat writer in Washington. He quoted Troy Vincent as saying that, "The blocked kick will be the only one of my career because I got lucky, I want to thank Adam Archuleta"...Pointless I know so far, but the reason he thanked Adam Archuleta he said is because when Witten burned him, he started talking crap and he kept talking crap on the field goal kick, and he wasn't all there/pay attention when they hiked the ball, and Vincent just kinda ran by untouched.

Do you guys believe this?

Watching the video on the FG kick I can see that sorta.

I understood that Columbo made the blocking mistake on the FG attempt, not Witten.
