He was somewhat inaccurate in the Green Bay game. He was more erratic than anything. As he had some extremely accurate throws that Romo simply can't make. The throws to Butler (the TD and the drop) were right on the money and not easy throws to make.

It's a no-win situation for Romo because if he plays well and the team loses...even if it's not Romo's fault...everybody is going to blame Romo. And if they play fairly well and make the playoffs and lose in the playoffs...they'll say that they could have done better if they kept Dak as the starter.

The only winning situation is if Romo comes in and wins the Super Bowl. Not much to ask, right?

And never messing with a winning streak is an old saying, good lord.

I must be 'playing not to lose' with a QB that is 5-1, is the 2nd most efficient QB in the league that has played a large role in having the best run offense in the game and the 2nd most efficient offense in the game.

Are you insinuating that Romo could have dropped in those 9 routes?

And Romo just has to win a few games. He doesn't have to be perfect.

It may be an old saying but the quote you gave to support it was from fiction.

I don't want Romo run out of town, I want a Super Bowl. If Romo can bring it, great. I just don't think he has it in him, the facts bare this.

Well then at least let his career play out.

If he's done in Dallas then he's done. But if he's not and he's named the starter again then we should support him. There's a venom in your stance with Tony that is hard to understand. He's put his heart, soul, and body into the organization and outperformed just about everybody around him his entire career.

As Ed Werder tweeted to me this weekend---

"If the other players on the Cowboys over the years performed to the level that Romo has - Dallas would've won multiple Super Bowls."

I've personally gone on record saying that I would support Romo 100% if he's named the starter.

Are you insinuating that Romo could have dropped in those 9 routes?

Perhaps not. He's not exactly healthy. Talk to experts about back surgeries...usually the reply you get is 'don't ever do it unless you have no other choice.' Why? Because back surgeries have about a 40-50% chance of working. A healthy Romo? Sure. But you have a Romo that is rusty and coming off injury. He was supposedly healthy against the Seahawks in preseason and immediately injured his back, again.

And Romo just has to win a few games. He doesn't have to be perfect.

Nope.

At this rate he would have to at least go to the Super Bowl (and most likely win) or everybody will think we screwed the pooch and didn't go with the hot hand in Dak.

Now, if Dak has a few bad outings and the team loses a couple of games...then it would be a better position for Tony to come in and 'save the day.' But at this point, you could lose the locker room and the fans by making Tony the starter.

It may be an old saying but the quote you gave to support it was from fiction.

I'm not sure why that matters. People tend to quote lines from movies. Should I steal lines from Bill Polian with 'going with the hot hand' instead? Would that make you feel better?

Why was third down pass to Witten a bad pass?

I'll give you the pass a Butler's feet. But that pass to Witten?

I believe we're in nit pick territory. I've seen Romo overthrow a lot of receivers on deep balls, DFWJC. I see you cosigning. These same nit picks were said in by scouts in 06 and 07 about Tony Romo. I remember the fox sports radio scout said Tony Romo was only had to read one side of the field. That's how simplified the offense was for him. This was more the half way in the 2007 season.

Some need to calm down. It's his sixth start! That was the best team he had played in his LIFE. And we're taking a dump on him because he was off on maybe 4 passes. Like the election, I'll be glad when this is over.

Finished the second drive with two bad passes? Totally agree on the second pass, but the 3rd down pass? Tough judge!

I call it has I see 'em. Don't sugarcoat it with Romo won't do that with Dak: The last two road games(SF and GB) he hasn't been as sharp as he has in his last 2 home games(Chi and Cincy).

It's the SIXTH start of his career. And I think the fumble would've been intercepted had he released it on time or otherwise.

No props on the nice footwork that avoided the sack on the Williams pass? Nah? All good!

3 bad passes

Second down pass to Witten on the second drive
Goal line pass to butler
Int tinended for Witten

Vs the best team he's seen in his life, and DFWJC act like Romo hasn't broken all our hearts many times over.

I can't wait to this nonsense is over.

How about that beautiful deep ball to Butler? No. you don't want to talk about that?

He was off on 4 passes!!! He was all over the place!!!

I hope Tony can play vs the Eagles, I'm tired

At this point Daks a bum if the Cows don't score on every drive. Romo would've, right DFWJC!

1 more: The ball hit him in the face mask on that last TD drive. Could've been a fumble

Romo also fumbled a snap at the end of the first half in the 2014 playoff game, when we were in a position to go up 21-7 at the half! Instead we ended up that half 14-10. But Dez caught it! And we blew it at the end of the first half. Tony also blew it on that drive when he took an unnecessary sack that ended changing the way we would've attacked them on that last drive. But 9 is perfect. 10 years end and bozo doesn't know to throw the ball away.. Dak was all over the place

13 for 29, 113 yards, 0td, 1int, 41qb rating

Cowboys backs rushed for 162 yards in this game vs GB in 2015.

Matt Cassel's numbers vs Green Bay last season

He said Dak was lucky to win this game, I say we were lucky to have Dak

We've seen worse

In fairness, I think Romo wins this game as well

I'll say it again, if the staff decides to go with Romo, I'll support him 100% and won't defile everything wrong he does like you guys who hate Dak.
I don't hate Dak. He's a godsend.

By your same logic "if" Butler doesn't drop that long bomb then Dak doesn't throw the interception and we blow green bay out even more. It feels like you have an agenda against Dak or not being consistent which is unusual for you. I normally agree with you but I respectfully disagree on this. Dak may not have had his best day against a bad Packers team but by the same token they didn't catch Dak at his best either. Dak is going to have his low points just like Romo and EVERY other qb in the league. The good news is that Dak recovered and was good enough to win by a large margin.

It wasn't just the interception (which was entirely forced and could have really lost us the game), it wasn't just the drop (that I blame butler for not Prescott), or the two fumbles, one of which he was lucky we were able to recover.

If Dak had the previous few years of Cowboys defenses there, we get smashed in that game and he doesn't have what it takes right now to come back big from behind.
