I realize I’m in the minority….nearly all of y’all want to be as good as possible right now….but I have little desire to add veteran skill pieces until you’re ready to win. They aren’t.

I’d rather take a longer look at Mingo. Yeah I get that it’s doubtful he becomes a capable 2, but then they shouldn’t have dealt for him. He hasn’t even played with Dak yet.

We can get in the playoffs next year with a little luck
Every year the goal needs to be to get it the best team in the field especially when you are spending that much on a QB

Their problems the trenches and they improved their trenches from last year. How much? I don’t know. Teams are gonna have weaknesses. Eagles and Commanders both have them. Commanders went into this offseason needing a pass rush and came out of it not adding anything but actually losing Fowler. Cowboys need to over come their flaws. Not succumb to them. Because if they are waiting to be perfect they will always be waiting.

We don’t know that yet though. He’s a year removed from being an all pro. And he was hurt last year so I’m not entirely sure what Dak we will get.

There are 1-2 new teams in the playoffs every year.

We had 3 straight 12 win seasons and then sank last year, we aren’t far from being a playoff team. A SB contender is a different story though

It depends. If I can get Sutton or Pierce for a 4th rounder, I likely would do it (granted, I doubt you could get either for that). Both are way more proven than Mingo.

Exactly. I’d give a 4th in a heartbeat for Sutton. Can you get one of those for a 4th is the question. We gave a 4th for Mingo and that was just silly. As long as we get a talented WR, DT and don’t give up a pick in the first 3 rnds I’m all for it. Sutton isn’t worth more than a 4 to me because of his contract

I don’t think the price of hill trade wise is that scary. His salary is. You want to be serious about contending? Trade a 2nd for a dude who on any given day of the nfl schedule can drop 200 and take the top off the defense.

The 2023 roster went one and done, we have a new HC (and coaching team), Dak coming off an injury and a shed load of the roster are reclamation projects.

It would be an unrealistic expectation to look on 2025 as anything other than setting the foundations (identify/hope on finding something out of those former prospects we've signed).

One of the pre-Draft WR arguments I could never understand, is that we the fans wanted: TMAC (pretty much universally liked), then Golden, then Egbuka .....well they're three different types of receiver. Lets see how an Offense, with improved blocking and a run game enhances the passing game and then look at a specific WR, with a specific skillset to compliment.

If that's the case, why did we supposedly want TMAC. It could be argued with had a (poor man's) Hill in Cooks, and for a fraction of the cost. Indeed, an argument could be made that Blue could be utilized in taking the 'top off the Defense'.

i can get being critical of the franchise and finding faults in their moves or lack of them but BTB is too toxic,the most miserable people on earth are all congregated there.every post is some whine about something and many of the time its not even true .they were whining that our draft class was not athletic enough when we drafted the most Athletic DE and probably the most athletic Corner if he was able to participate in the Combine.
