Blogging The Boys - NFC East Grade Chart from nine sites

Their draft was outstanding.
I'll give a grade after the season. I don't count the chickens before they hatch.

Now you? They could draft players without arms or legs and it would be all good in your little eyes.

Standard grading with letters can translate to percentages but the exact numbers can vary by district.

Anyway, I think this is how it went.

A+ = 98
A = 95
A- = 92
Etc

So, the Giants had

A+ (1)
A (3)
A- (4)
B (1)
Total: 821/9 = 91.222

Cowboys
A+ (1)
A (1)
A- (2)
B+ (3)
B (2)
Total: 811/9 = 90.111

So, anything between 90 and 92 will yield an A- while the giants, within the A- range, numerically came out higher as they should.
Thanks.

If you use that rubric and extend it out for the “B” grades, the Giants would have 837 (93) total points to the Cowboys 816 (90.6).

The Giants would be somewhere between an A- and an A, and the Cowboys would be between a B+ and an A-.

These grades are all arbitrary and meaningless, but just looking at the table they put together doesn’t even pass the eye test.

I think those grades are based on the players they drafted. The grades most of us are talking about is how much have the players chosen improve the team. Dallas may of had an A draft but a D for team improvement.

I gave the boys draft a C+. As the season plays out I can raise or lower that.

I like blue and mafah RB's, but the rest is wait and see.

These grades need to be adjusted for draft position. It's pretty easy to have a good grade if you're picking at the top of every round and maybe have extra picks too.

Great chart BTW. Many of us felt like Dallas had a solid draft, so it's nice to see a good consensus from the analysts.

Means absolutely nothing
I beg to differ. Not every analyst is good, but many are well informed professionals. Collectively their opinion carries some weight. There is a broad consensus about the quality of Dallas's draft.
