Sheduer dropping like a lead weight

Sheddeur learned something hopefully from the mess he helped create. Now he's got to make the most out of his Chance. Can't blame anything on someone else anymore. Time to shine young man.

Agreed. None of the 3 was, is or ever will be capable of taking a team on a deep run in the playoffs. None of em have enough between the ears. There’s an equal opportunity.
On to "between the ears".....hmmm.

Sheduer, played outside in Colorado. plenty of snow games. Pretty sure he'll be ok in Cleveland.

Cleveland is the perfect spot for him. He will have opportunity to play with zero expectations. Those fans have survived the Deshawn Watson debacle. Sheduer could disappoint them more? No way. Zero pressure on the kid.
Huge pressure on the kid just to get looks in camp. He may have to go the practice squad route.

I will be interesting to see how the young man reacts and
learns from a coach that is not his father.

But it's the Browns so yuck is a possibility regardless.

I think it's not pressure. As a 5th round pick, practice squad would be a normal thing. If he was a first round pick, then there would be pressure for him to show something this year. He is not going to beat out Joe Flaco to be the primary back-up. The competition is for the 3rd QB spot. If he really has first round talent, that should not be a problem. Worst case, he sits on the practice squad for a year. The QB job is wide open next year. They can afford to eat Watsons remaining year and go young at QB.

There will also be opportunities to trade him in-season as QBs go down with injury.

because Shedeur is their fifth QB and fourth in the depth chart, there is a scenario where he doesn’t make the 53 man roster
Best he can do is QB3. Browns have a crowded QB room right now. They have more draft capitol invested in Dillon Gabriel. So, the question is............ why draft shedder at all? They preferred Dillon Gabriel on draft day. So, don't you have to give him the best shot at QB3? They got Flacco to back up Deshawn Watson. I think if Sheduer is put on the practice squad, he's going to get snapped up as QB injuries pile up throughout the league as they always do. Hell, he could probably be QB2 in Dallas right now.

well if you don't need a QB then he should NOT be on your draft board right?
correct. But we don't know what 3 teams Boomer talked to. Maybe they did need to start planning for a QB to develop. Right?

This isnt about the Cowboys, its about this guy that teams didnt want to touch. And his father didnt help.

It was the whole package; Sheduer and his father.
The kid was arrogant and dismissive of others; you add that to the simple fact that he is not all that a QB and then throw the anchor that is his father on top of it all and its no wonder he sank

Kiper and others have shown their total incompetence here very clearly

What is there to learn?

He is into marketing and selling a brand...something big corps do and make money off of doing.

Deion and him want the best for Shedeur(sp)...what is wrong with that?

He isn't perfect. Twitter spats, throwing his lineman under the bus. That's what all corps do when faced with adversity. Especially when in legal battles.

Why is he not allowed to protect himself?

The only legit answer is this "it's the nfl draft, you go where you are taken"

But, who wants to go to or wants their child going to a team like what Daniel Jones had to deal with for 2 or 3 years in New York? Jones literally could not get a pass off for 2 years? It ruined his career.

Your gonna say that "that's just how it is"...which is lazy and inconsiderate. Why should a player risk his whole upbringing to go to a trash squad and most likely not receive a second contract because of the GM? You can't answer it honestly.

Sure, Jones got his second contract...but he was ruined by New York.

Kids using their platform isn't going away. It's a smart business decision. You can't honestly answer why it's OK for 'higher tiers' to do it, but not for the player.

You're side stepping a bunch of critical information and relying on "that's just how it is"

You're conflicted at worse.

I will agree, he has displayed some drama. He definitely seems like the type to hold out and demand tonnes of money if he produces. But that's business. But only 'owners' are allowed to do that from your view point....why?

Joe Flacco
Nick Foles
as Atlanta mentioned Kurt Warner
and lets talk about the three skins QBs Theisman, Williams, rypien
warner probably had the best career overall
Flacco was a top pick but the rest?
So you are the one who should hide and never appear again

And you put Dak in some of those guys jock straps. That’s where our debate starts and ends. What are Dak’s weaknesses and strengths? The runner up in the MVP? How many times has Lamar Jackson won it or finished in the top 2-3? Any fan can watch him play and know he’s never leading a team to a SB. He and Dak are limited in certain areas of their game that will never allow it to happen.

This is kinda nuts considering where he was projected to go. I think it's a bit of the "Tim Tebow" effect. He's a celebrity not just a QB which creates unnecessary distraction. Just look at all the media attention he generates. He was the biggest storyline in last nights draft and he wasn't even taken. Imagine the media attention his new team is going to have to deal with........ a lot of teams are saying "no thanks" to this rookie.
..you know Deion must not be happy. Ego blown apart right there..lol.. NFL saw right through the kid. Probably another Johnny Football type.

I saw today where the same culprits on ESPN were crying crocodile tears about the 5th round draft spot and actually did a segment about Shadeur getting prank called during the draft, which was classless.......but for some reason they refused to bring up that TE Tyler Warren was also prank called on the same exact way the same day

The double standard is easy to find if one looks for it. They can carry the water for Deion but not for a guy that was actually DRAFTED in the 1st round

Not to mention that Shiloh fired Daddy as his agent and hired Drew Rosenhaus this weekend.

Not a boring weekend in the Sanders household, lol

Most QBs are Johnny football types...

They don't succeed.

So what's your point about a player trying to market himself and sell himself and his brand if he doesn't work put?

Can you provide a smart answer? Or is smart only for other tiers to pursue?

Fail or not...what's wrong with trying to make money like corps do?

I think I check mated you

The Browns have already stocked up for the 2026 Top QB’s as they have two first round picks. That did not happen by accident.
