Zeke got stuffed with a quickness, he had no chance whatsoever. I’m trying to figure out why this play was blown up so convincingly
Everybody on the planet, including Tibetan monks meditating silently on a mountain top in the Himalayas, anticipated the play call in advance. The Texans focused everything on stopping that play call, and got a great jump off the snap.

Moore was stupid enough to telegram the play with the formation we were in. Hell, even Stevie Wonder knew Zeke was getting it. Would've been a perfect play for a QB keeper on a rollout but not sure Dak could've won a footrace to the pylon.

IMO bad play call should have faked that to zeke and had a RPO with Dak on boot with someone else..ie Pollard. They obviously stacked the inside and KM and Dak should have had them set up , should have went outside. Lots of lost opportunities in that game.

2 dropped Tds, dropped passes, bad OL play, mistakes all over ie Punt fumble Ints, poor routes ran..we won..all we need to know..

Onto the jags...

Several hundred times in my life I’ve seen a TE sneak off and be wide open for a TD in that spot.

The problem was that play wasn’t called.
agree a 2 way boot rpo with dak moving would have been a better call..too many right at DL that had slowed or stuffed our run many times this game. set them up 2 plays in row up the gut and then sell it with zeke fak into the line, boot rpo outside.

The play looked rushed sort of, didn’t it?

Awkward maybe.

That entire set of downs reeked of desperation to get Zeke a TD.

I swear he is a crurch to this offense. It is like we have to justify his contract so we force things to him.

I mean Pollard had 2 TDs yesterday so we HAVE to get get Zeke at least 1.

It’s called math can’t block 11 guys in the box you have only 9 to block that doesn’t add up spread them out leaves gaps to run in don’t understand why these coaches go jumbo doesn’t add up

..to my eyes, it was bad play call. Instead of spreading the defense, then maybe run it through.

They went goal line formation. TEX had momentum from stopping previous run.

Stupid play call. Bad play design. The entire world knew what was coming.

Should have spread the offense like they did on the Zeke TD at the end of the game. At least Moore figured out how wrong he was the first time before calling it again.

Homer, do you ever criticize the qb? Blame everyone but the guy that everyone saw look like trash yesterday. The 2 interception were on him. The first was thrown into double if not triple coverage and deflected up off corners hands. The second is on him as well, right into the hands of corner by our own end zone. Just want to call it like it was seen during the game, not some fantasy that is told a day after. Lol

Daks always seems to be audibling out of a play call, I'm surprised or dissappointed he didn't do that on this play....frustrating

That was Kellen showing that he learned from Garrett, trying to enforce gimmick "power football" on that drive. We wanted them to run the ball more to start the 2nd half. They did and it worked but eventually the well is going to run dry and you have to use the rest of your playbook. The Texans defense realized what Kellen was trying to do once they finally got inside the 10.

You use the running game to move the ball down the field but once you have some momentum and rhythm, then you open up your playbook and call whatever it takes to score. You don't just keep handing it off into stacked boxes
