Blown assignment? Poor play call? Please tell me exactly what happened on that failed 4th and goal

To me, it looked as if the offensive lineman were blocking for a QB sneak. Because they seem to just dive to the ground instead of trying to push guys into the end zone. in those situations lineman are taught that, you're running back can't get in if you don't get in. So, they're supposed to push the opposing players back into the end zone, but they didn't even try.

It could be Zeke was going to leap over the pile but he got his before he could get to the pile.

He was first hit by a DB who was playing on the LOS. I think the Texans guessed on the play and they guessed right. If Dak kept that ball and the DB took the fake Dak could have walked into the end zone around the left side.

The Cowboys ran a play up the middle for the winning TD. The Cowboys blocked it better and it worked.

Horrible play call. The moment they lined up everyone and their mother knew where the ball was going. Dak should have noticed this and took a TO to regroup. Think I actually yelled at the TV like you can't be fn serious right now before the ball was even snapped lol

I honestly felt like it was to justify getting zeke a TD as bad as that sounds.

There were approximately 0 people in the game in the stands watching from TV that didn't know it was going to be a run. It's just like the Cowboys defense was ready for their little run option at the end of the game and they executed and they stuffed them easily.

that used to be called the jumbo formation, and I always felt it gave the adv to the defense.

Thank God they learned from it and went 3 wide on the game winning TD by Zeke to avoid that situation again. Moore has to always learn the hard way

That SHOULD have been an easy call.

Dak had them right where we wanted them. Selling out the run.

This is about the only part of Dak's game I criticize. He bullied them into the run then gave it to them. gRRRR.

When defense isn't blocked.......that will happen. Not too hard to understand if the defense is in or has penetrated the backfield as the RB receives the ball. No push from the interior OL, and no blocks on the end side. Not too simple, even if it had been TPollard. A poorly executed play.
