The correct call wouldn't have guaranteed a win, but the Cowboys chances to win the game probably go up to 50%+ at that point if that call isn't reversed and the Cowboys score a TD.

Exactly. I just get tired of hearing all this excuse mongering for the officiating. We literally DID make a play to win the game, but the refs took it away. If we lost after Aaron marched down the field, I would put that on the defense. To lose by the refs stealing away a potential touch down at the end of the game is inexcusable.

There are many reasons we lost.

*defense couldn't make a stop at the end of the game to get the ball back
*Bailey missed a field goal
*controversial no catch call on Dez
*controversial catch call on Cobb
*finishing poorly at the end of the first half
*Murray fumble

This. We're not Detroit. Let's stop acting like them.

all true

and despite it all, the best receiver in the game made an incredible play on 4th and 2 to give us a First and Goal inside the 1 with under 4 minutes to play and a chance to take the lead, and it was taken away from us

It hurts a ton to admit, but totally right. We blew so many opportunities to win this game by 20 points.

I think what hurts the most though is with the game on the line, the team said, well dang, we need a play. This is the game. Dez, go be Dez, do something ridiculous.

When that throw went up, I was like what a terrible throw how will he ever get to that? And he did. And they stole it from him. It would have gone down as one of the greatest playoff moments from someone who deserves it because he cares and works so hard, more than any of us dummys behind keyboards can. I really feel for him and he deserves the money I hope they give him.

The call was ridiculous, at the same time though we got away with one last week. On top of it we showed no sympathy for The Lions, so need for anyone to be upset about the call.

We just got outcoached, and got beat hands down.

I really hated how conservative we got on defense. When you need a stop, jump a route or two.

yup....rushing 3 nose tackles and dropping 8 back into coverage. I could have completed passes with the amount of time Wroggers had.

Biggest play of the game was we didn't recover the fumble on the kickoff. Could have gone up 15 points there with Td ..

The Murray fumble killed us.We had our chances, but could not capitalize.Still, surpassed any expectations I had for them.
12-4,Romo #1 rated QB,Dez led NFL in TDs,Murray won rushing title,defense played well,with effort.
Do not be ashamed of your Cowboys, they did well. They fought until the end.

To me, the main reason for the loss was the lack of a pass rush. Rogers was there for the taking several times today, and the Cowboys had a hard time getting them off the field on third down; the lack of pass rush finally caught up with us against a good offense like Green Bay's.

There steps and lunging for the end zone is "not a move common to the game"? For anyone with eyes - casual observers, etc - that was CLEARLY a catch (and a phenomenal one). Calls like that ruin the game for people who rightly go "how is that not a catch"?

That rule is terrible and must be changed.

I totally agree that the call was ridiculous, from many perspectives. Not the least of which is the reversal of the play which is supposed to be indisputable evidence that the call was wrong. Was there evidence that the ball ever touched the ground?
All this aside here are what i see as the main reasons for the loss.
The Demarco Fumble. It looked as if he may have scored on that play.
The failure to recover the kickoff fumble, Looked to me Like the first player to touch the ball was a Cowboy.
The most important factor was the coaches lack of situational awareness at the end of the half. You have to realize that you got a great spot to give you a first down and you have to get to the line and get a play off so that the call doesn't get reviewed. Instead we call timeout. How many times you see Belichick hurrying his team to the line to get a play off in that situation? I hope that Garrett improves on that. Then we line up in shotgun in what appears to be a pass on 3rd and 1. I know Romo checked out of the original call but I believe he checked from one pass to another. (situational awareness) down and distance, time remaining in the half. I am a Garrett fan but that isn't smart football, add a missed FG and you get a 6 point swing to end the half.
The call was only apart of the reason we lost this one.

Yep and this is being ignored because of the controversial Dez catch

it should ave never come down to Dez's catch, they had numerous opportunities to put GB away and that drive at the end of the first half was the killer imo. Should have been 17-7 or 21-7 instead of 14-10, minimum 6 point swing and they lost by 5 and thats without regard to how taking that lead into halftime effects momentum, GBs adjustments, etc, etc

opportunity lost, what a shame

the Lions play wasn't reviewed and was only an issue because the ref announced it when he shouldn't have. We also had to actually go win the game after that

Yeah. Teams make mistakes, blah, blah.

But refs shouldn't cost you a clear chance at the game either with an inexcusable reversal of a call that shouldn't have happened.

I don't understand what it is with people and ignoring game context. It's like the bad calls in a game are explained away in a vacuum when comparing calls between two games that are in totally different contexts.

Carter was literally jogging at the end. Totally gassed. We should have sacked Rodgers 6 times in the 4th quarter alone.

No pass rush. Kept coming up short.

Yeah, regardless we got away with it.

If that was my team I'd be upset, so would this forum.
