Blue: The game has slowed down for me

Literally, all pertaining to his college years. How did this pertain to Blue's professional rookie year? Did you watch Blue perform for the Cowboys last year? He fumbled the ball 1 time (Javonte Williams fumbled it 2 times). Blue pass protected pretty good the few times he had to. Not once did the defender he was blocking get to the QB.

So tell me, where did Blue show any fumbling problems or pass protection problems last year during his rookie year as a professional football player for the Cowboys?
Pulease, trying to walk away from the accusation of me making stuff up when it was literally the criticism of multiple scouts….now we’ve pivoted to make the goalposts about his play last year with only 39 touches across five games….as if that is a full body of work to really evaluate. And then comparing his 1 fumble in 39 touches to Javonte’s 2 fumbles when Javonte had nearly 250 carries….is a silly comparison.
I think all the questions about how he can handle more playing time are still very valid and we will see and hope he can do it. If you’re going to take any quotes comments from scouts that aren’t rainbows and puppy dogs so personal you should at least do some google searches first.

That site also says:

"Given his developmental track at Texas and limited workload, Blue projects as a mid-round selection with significant upside. If the ball security and pass protection issues get cleaned up, Blue has the juice to become a dynamic complementary weapon who can turn any touch into a highlight reel touchdown."
Absolutely he does, we’ve seen a glimpse or two….but we also know he isn’t getting those chances unless he cleans up his weaknesses. We are on the same page as far as hoping he does and we see lots of highlights reel footage from him.

Those "scouts" will be proven wrong. It already started last year.

Klayton Adams and the HC need to work with Blue and utilize his speed not only in the backfield but targets for Dak . He can do damage .

Exactly. Just get him involved. He can play some receiver too.

Everyone coming down on a rookie. He's got one more year of experience. And that was always the knock on him because he shared carries with backs at Texas.

Watch the Texas win against Az St in the NCAA playoffs Blue was a viable receiver doing damage .
For sure, Blue could definitely be a dangerous receiver.

But I still like him as a runner. I'm a little bias since I used to lurk the halls of Parlin and Calhoun in the six pack. But I at least know most who over criticize Blue don't know what they're talking about. They say he can't run between the tackles. Oh, yes he can. The problem last year was teams knew he'd be running so there just wasn't much there a lot of times. Like watch him run between the tackles against the Giants. Also, look how bad the blocking was towards the end of the game.

And he still managed 4.0 ypc. He's capable. I still worry about his fumbling, TBH.

Oh yeah he’s first and foremost a RB . I just mentioned catching passes as a valuable asset to get on the field . The HC needs to devise some plays use his speed .

Jaydon Blue’s 2024 College Highlights

The fact that we are a Javontae ankle sprain away from Jaydon Blue being our starting running back should give everyone pause.
The team has a few concerning spots. IMO, its offensive tackle and back up running back. Either one could derail the season. The team is really counting on Javontae staying healthy.

Expectations were too high and some forgot he wasn't taken early. He was a 5th rounder last year.
Honestly, any expectations of it working out is based on a lot of hope.

Running back is a position that can work out when taken in the first four rounds but has an absolutely horrible hit rate rounds five to seven. It’s like 5%

There have been so few that it was hard to find any that were long term starters

I only found Aaron Jones.

It almost feels like teams are wasting picks at that point.
