Blueprint.

The blue print.
1. Onside kicks
2. Flea Flickers
3. Go for it on forth down
4. The Option
5. Blitz
6. Blitz
7. Blitz some more

so over half of our game before we gave up and the colts game has provided no help?

thomas was supposed to be their Superstar LB. hasn't happened.

Yeah we all saw a blueprint and what not but noones going to use it. Back when the colts played the Chargers a couple years back the Colts were 13-0. The Chargers blitzed all day and showed that Peyton doesnt respond well with pressure. However every year, every game comes around and everyone drops back and forgets the colts Blueprint. We may see some teams try to adjust but noone can copy something exactly. Every game is different. Not only that but the Patriots now know the blueprint to beat themselvesso now they make the adjustments so that this doesnt happen again.

You can shift to cover weaknesses but then that action creates weaknesses somewhere else. Its a constant chess game. Too many people are acting like they should just roll over and give up if they are playing the patsies. The weaknesses are there in their D; they can be exploited. Their Offense can be contained if you have the talent and the plan. Its no great mystery.

Jeff Garcia needs a blueprint to make love to his wife, and even with it he doesn't know what hes doing. Having a blueprint doesn't guarantee you will win. Last year the blueprint to beat the Colts was always available. The Steelers and Colts AFC championship game. Yet teams weren't able to execute and allowed the Colts to become 9-0 until Dallas executed. So don't get your hopes up that the Patriots will start losing.

He also stated you need to get a pass rush up the MIDDLE so Brady can't step into his passes. Brady can get around an outside pass rush.

I am hopeful that by the time we get to the SB Tank Johnson will be able to provide some of that inside pressure. With Ware and Ellis coming in from the outside and Tank from inside it should keep Brady from getting comfortable in the pocket.

I'd also like to see some of the inside pressure come from our ILBs who will delay blitz. Brady James in particular should be good at that and it was a staple of Wade's defense in SD.

ughhh....they would've punted twice put some idiot went off sides on 4th down which ended up giving NE another drive which became their only TD of the second half.

And the Pats' D had an off night?? Newsflash, they've been exposed already this season for having an old defense who constantly gives up plays in the middle of the field. Guys like Brusci and Harrison constantly get exposed for the bums that they are when you hit those slants and in routes. Their only strength is trying to confuse the offense with what kind of D their playing cause the only play makers they got are Samuels and Vrabel. They have to outsmart you cause they dont have the talent to stop you if you know what they're doing.

It amazes me how all the players, coaches and talking heads are making excuses for the Patriots by saying the only reason they almost lost is because they had an off night and made it out like the Eagles played a perfect game which was hardly the case. New England didn't commit a turnover while the Eagles had a pick-6 and another INT when they were in field goal range to tie the game. The Patriots played well on offense. They just didn't get a many chances because the Eagles drove the ball on them and controlled the clock. I think most teams would be happy with punting only once in a game, not feeling that they underperformed.

we shall see, the next 2 games for the pats, Bal and Pitt. You would think one of their D's could step up.
I know Bal offense can't keep up with the pats, but Pitt could if they played a perfect game.

You can have a blueprint but you still need an architect, carpenters, electricians, and plummers to build the actual house. Not to mention, the design only made the building almost stand but it collapsed all the same. There is no big secret that allows you to beat the Patriots like unlocking a door. You have to come out wanting it like the Eagles did and be a good enough team to put it away.

Thats too funny. Blitz Brady and Double up Moss. Geez - that's brilliant.

And the Blueprint is to have 31 Points scored on you and Brady to pass for almost 400 yards.

I'd study the Colts gameplan candidly. But our team can't play that style of defense. We just have to execute what we do better and get a lead on Pats......

Personally I think you need to try and pound the run and control clock and wear Pats defense out in 2nd half. Sprinkle in some big plays on offense and get 3-4 sacks on Brady - hit him.

Exactly. Run the ball at them. Its all about clock management. If you run and score most of the time Brady wont have the chance to hit you with 400 yards.

Do you think the Pats will be on the lookout now for the onside kick? And what's making me laugh about this blueprint talk is that the Pats are going to LEARN from the game also. You don't think they will watch the film of that game and learn from it??

You cant learn how to stop your linebackers/safety from being old and create talented players on your defense. That's why people call the Pats' D "mechanical" cause man-on-man, they're ****ed cause they just dont have the talent to keep up with a good offense that can figure out their blitz scheme and get the ball out on time. Philly took receivers who never played a major part in their starting offense and made them play makers cause the match ups were that easy thru the middle of the field with a bunch of hasbeens who cant keep up.

Here's a newsflash. That's how they won three Superbowls - not by having the most talent, but by being smarter and better prepared than their opposition. That hasn't changed this year, as their defense, despite it's aging ILB (only old position on the team), has consistently ranked in the top three in the league (by most metrics).

Bingo! Blitz Brady and double up Moss didn't get Buffalo very far the previous week. And Buffalo was arguably playing better defense than Philly heading into the game.

Since the beginning of time, the way to beat any offensive juggernaut is to keep them off the field for long periods of time and hope that they fall out of - or don't get into - a rythym.
