Stratego was always a winner in my book.

Of course, we can never forget Chess. :)

The flag placement and protection for the Blue Flag here is atrocious.

He wouldn't have a chance against me!

A great game for the family if you have kids is Apples to Apples.

I am like Yeag, no one liked playing TP with me because my head is filled with useless crap as most of you know.

For me it was I had played it enough to know the answers to the questions in the game. If you broke out a different version I wasn't as good.

True story....the first time we ever played I won on the question "Who were Donald Ducks nephews?" :laugh2:

Cranium is by far my favorite board game of all time. We play every Thanksgiving when the family all gets together. Which means that time is coming, better start brushing up on my acting, singing, sculpting and drawing skills!

The electronic version of Monopoly. It makes the game so much quicker. My families favorite game however is Beyond Balderdash. I always get a kick out of it.

i used to love mouse trap, but I'm not gonna lie i dominate at monopoly, my aunt hates playing with me because she doesn't agree with my strategy

monopoly. my husband & i have different versions of the game, & we've even played it on our PS3.:D

I have some friends who run a game store, and apparantly the board game business is booming. Lots of interesting games, and good sales. Seems there has been a renaissance of game design in the last decade or so.

My favorites would be: Tales of the Arabian Nights, and Arkham Horror. For family entertainment, maybe also Settlers of Catan.

I could swear that we've had this topic before, but some time back. Risk was always fun,but before that were any number of games put out by Avalon Hill, such as "Tactics 2", "Stalingrad","Panzer Blitz", and "Gettysburg",just to name a few we used to play. More challenging than "Risk".

Oh yeah! I love Risk. The best thing about it is getting a few players involved and having a game that takes a few days to play out, so you have to leave all the pieces set out on the table overnight. Awesome stuff. Risk is a game I'll always love and play.
