Who cares? Its over and done with.

It's far from over & done with. Peter King said this about the Pats: The league, the Patriots, everybody, they just want this Spygate thing to go away. Then he said Wade Phillips said this to him about the Patriots: "Hey, New England got caught cheating, and it's a black mark on their success."

Well, now you know that the Patriots are ESPN's favorite team, so they are making a big deal about it so that Bill Bellicheat can have plenty of locker room fodder. Who cares if what Phillips said was true, & that every freaking GM in the league is thinking the same thing? Their saying it about ESPN's almighty Patriots.

Why do you think Goodell is backing off? ESPN!! They own the sports world, and if you try to mess with their team, they are going to let you know there's a price to pay. I mean, come on, Bristol, Conn. is right up the road from Boston, figuratively speaking.

Dude if ESPN disappeared tommarrow, the world would have much better sports coverage then what they have now. Best of all....No more world series of poker :bang2:

the so called journalists need to do some investigating and find out what teams the patriots had info on, how much, and how much of an advantage this gave to the patriots. I would say, just by the "cover up" the advantage was tremendous.

and in the mean time they need to keep on talking about it. every show, radio broadcast, etc. keep the pressure on

Amen to that. I can't stand the biased jerks. That doesn't change the fact that they have more power than any other entity in sports. They weild a mighty sword that even Roger Goodell must bow to. Why do you think he took it to every other person, then blew the whole Patriots Spygate crap over?
Like was mentioned before, any other team besides ESPN's beloved Patriots get caught with their cam in the cookie jar, and their making a mini-series about it on ESPN2.

Mr. Goodell to ESPN.............. .

Wow, this thread has maybe one sentence about the Boys.

Take to the NFL zone, which I never bother reading anyway.

yeah and its probably going to happen again because of statements like this...the league should have gotten to the bottom of this and if it was proven that the cheated in the super bowls, then either A) take the franchise away or B) take the titles away or C) fire all involved...or something along those lines. But the thought of "who cares" is ridiculous. the integrity of the game has seriously been challenged...so all football fans who care about the game being played SHOULD care....it should not be over and done with. They cheated and won super bowls doing it and got off scott free. 1 draft pick for 3 super bowls....nice punishment.

its a shame you don't care about the league the Cowboys play in...you know the league the cowboys play in may have some effect on the team...im sick of hearing about fans that are tired of hearing about this...the team cheated and got off scott free...thats wrong and if you ignore it its just going to happen again and again and before long the games will be rigged and meaningless.

You have to wonder if they aren't already rigged. The stealers were handed the SB against Seattle. Looked what happened to us in Chicago. Fortunately we came out so strong in the 2nd half that even the refs couldn't turn the game. Certain teams just get too many questionable calls going their way time and time again, that I'm just not sure some games aren't already rigged.

If it wasnt for cheating and the BS tuck rule the Pats would be lucky to have 1 Super Bowl victory.

Football doesn't want a Chicago Black Sox 1919. This is now America's sport and big, big, huge money. Dang right the teams owners and everyone who counts in the NFL are going to keep this quiet. And the media is going to step right in line from ESPN to every decent size local newspaper's reporters. The league wants this quiet and has the clout to make it happen. As evidenced by the huge sound of nothing much happening about a subject that should be getting OJ type of coverage. I don't blame them but I don't like it. Problem is I love watching the Boys so much I'll overlook it like most of the rest of us. And we don't have any real clout unless we boycott the games which we won't do.

Don't worry, it will slowly but surely unravel-they can only cover it up for so long.

On top of that, look for the bank records of those refs in SB40 to get exposed too!;)

I find this odd, if the Pats were cheating and the NFL sanctioned it, then why arent we talking about a Patriots 5 peat right now?

Clearly, the Patriots were cheating. There is no "if" involved here.

It isn't that the NFL "sanctioned" it. The NFL discovered it. And then destroyed the evidence. The evidence was bad for business.

Again, if the cheating was as rampant as many on this thread suggest, then why aren't the Pats 5 time champs?

Seriously, "if" they were cheating, then why couldn't Bledsoe do anything while they were at it?

Yeah-it's pretty suspicious especially considering that Brady comes in with NO experience, but looks like a 5 year vet with Montana experience, but it still mind-boggles me how Bledsoe was nonetheless incredibly inept.

FWIW-there's been rumors that Denver has been taping practices of their opponents.

I dunno-maybe the big reason why the other 31 teams are keeping quiet is b/c they have alot of dirty laundry themselves. I just hope we're not one of them.

I suspect this is the reason why so many teams are keeping quiet.

It really doesnt matter if we were, JJ admitted to trying to do the same thing and we all know who mentored Belichick.

All the teams did the same thing but this year the league sent a memo saying it couldn't be done this year. Jimmy J said all the the teams used to do this, now they must do it from the crowd. With the camera and computing power available every team is recording everything the other teams do..JUST NOT FROM THe Sidelines. In baseball they film evrything down to the pitcherrs grip on the ball loooking for an edge. You don't think foootball does the same. High school teams send people ahead to film everything of the other team.

IF they were cheating, and I said "IF', they just weren't good enough to win 5 times even with the cheating. I think it's highly possible that they were cheating and still couldn't win 5.
