Brad Sham is on board with bringing Stoops in. I would be too. Brad said that he is young and would bring some fire with him.

I agree Jimmy is the only college coach that had any real success recently.Barry took over Jimmy's team he did not build it.

Cowher's sittin' out there.... it's the fit that looks best.... as plain as day.... that said, if jerry hires a stooge for a season, he's gonna get roasted by the national media - and a large portion of cowboyszone.... i means a lost season.... but, it also mean the potential for a high pick - but who wants to wait a season?....

He has so much hype because he coaches Oklahoma, and you can bet alot of Okies like the Cowboys.

I want someone with NFL experience and like someone pointed out in another thread the only college coach to have success recently was Jimmy.

Plenty of coaches with NFL experience have bombed as well. See anyone coaching for Al Davis or Dan Snyder over the last several years. If we go the "established" route, it should be someone with strong potential to succeed, not just a laundry list of stops on the way.

What exactly has he done at Oklahoma that makes him such a great HC?

Without the long line of assistants he had like Mark Mangino, Mike Stoops, Mike Leach, Bo Pelini, Brent Venables, etc., over the years, he should have success. Since the departure of those guys, Stoops has been rather average.

They were good as long as the were still under Jimmy. None of his assistant did anything without him.
