I don’t know why Wentz fell off. Seemed like he had issues between the ears. I bring up Dak being an All Pro to confirm he’s a good quarterback. Not saying he’s bad or great. He’s been a good QB.
Legs-based QB. He was only good as long as he was mobile. Same as Hurts. Problem w/ QBs of this type is that the slightest leg injury can render them ineffective.

They have a legitimate balanced attack. Playing Love under center keeps teams off balance not knowing what is coming
Not to make any excuses for Dak but his issue against the Packers was the lack of respect for the running game.

He also had a historic lucky streak in converting 3rd and longs by completing a bunch of low % passes way above expectation. Once his luck ran out and that reverted to the mean, his whole game fell apart.

Same type of thing would happen with Nick Foles. He would go on a hot streak of completing a way above normal % of deep balls and jump balls to receivers. During those times he would light things up. But once that would revert to the mean. He would suck. Luckily for the eagles he happened to go on a run like that through the playoffs. Credit to Foles for doing so. But it’s just not sustainable year after year in the NFL

Dak isn’t bad. He’s just not good enough. After the first two drives, everyone here knew what was about to happen. Dak had nowhere to go. Not because his receivers are poor. Not because his protection is poor. Not because of play calling. He simply lacks the arm talent to beat certain coverages consistently. It’s been eight years. It’s only going to get worse.

I hear you, but I disagree. If Joe Burrow can change Cincy and Josh Allen can change life in Buffalo...a top QB can change life here. Winning cures all.
Compare the coaching staffs there. Cincinnati is viewed as one of the tops. Buffalo has a very solid staff. Dallas has neutered retreads or learner permit types.

Baker Mayfield. Same thing.

Many just saw the TB/PHILLY game and are now overrating him hugely.

By Pro Football Reference's stats, Dak had the highest OnTarget% in the league.
He doesn't lack arm talent. He has developed the kind of touch and ball placement you see a lot of the good QBs develop with significant experience.
After Lamb, our WRs are Cooks, Gallup, and Tolbert. Pretty damn meh. Our punt returner has been *significantly* more effective on a QB rating basis than those 3.
Dak started the game off target and out of sorts, but the lack wasn't in his arm.
Dak was up front about playing poorly. I haven't heard the press corps ask him if he had any theories why. Were we trying to do something different than usual on offense? Did GB do something that surprised him? That other teams hadn't done this season?

He is/was one of the biggest Dak supporters.

Cowboys have gone undefeated at home since the first game of last season vs TB entering this WC game vs GB.
We won 16 home games in a row and never fell behind in that span by more than 8 points.
We had positioned ourselves perfectly with the 2 seed and had 2 home games lined up.
Even Vegas couldn't predict this monumental meltdown.

You better take cover, bro, there is gonna be some heavy smoke coming your way! lol
Smoke usually comes to those who speak the truth.....some of them just can't take reality even when it's been proven 8 years in a row

Of course some of them have skin in the game so they feel like they have to defend the indefensible

How is Cooks a meh reciever? Has 1k seasons with 4 different teams. Had more yards last season with the Texans with 2 or 3 less games played and a no name qb throwing to him. Has 1k seasons with Davis Mills throwing to him.

That's all on MM and Dak for not utilizing him right for half the season.

Legit two 1k recievers and ferg is turning into a beast. Gallup is trash . Lamb, Cooks, Ferg damn near most quarterbacks would kill for that

There isnt a single sole thats happy with Sundays performance.

But this is a message board where we discuss all facets of the Dallas Cowboys. Sorry if talking negatively about Dak bothers you so much.
I’m not sorry - and I won’t apologize. Dak sucked *** on Sunday and is alone in the responsibility for HIS play. Others sucked, too - and we will get to THEM in due time. But the NFL is a QB-driven league. This last game was a huge pile of SUCK with a lotta dirty laundry to sort through. Everything in it’s time.

We’ll get to the socks - right now were doing jeans.

Bob Sturm’s quote later in that same X strand: “The regular season is where you make your money. The playoffs are where you make your legacy.”
I agree 100%.
Great quote from the Sturminator

Nah it’s fine. The dude he is replying to called him one first. This is a long running feud between them.
Hate to see the name calling though. Someone might follow their lead and get benched without knowing that’s not ok

It’s not one game, though. It’s literally every game against heavy zone defenses that aren’t terrible—for eight years.

Time to move on.
