Twitter: Bob Sturm on the Cowboys 4-man pass rush

Fowler absolutely was a good signing. He brings much more juice than his free agency payday would suggest.

He’s just not able to be the main pass rusher on a line. He’ll never be productive enough as an EDGE 1 because offenses can stop him as long as he’s the main concern.

However, in Dallas Fowler will be either the 3rd or 4th best EDGE rusher, depending on how Sam Williams develops. With offenses having to worry about DLaw and Williams - and being absolutely terrified of Parsons - Fowler can 100% cause problems in protection schemes. He really is pretty electric with his athleticism and speed. If they can’t pay a lot of attention to him, Fowler is going to get to the QB a lot this season.

I’ve been waiting for this kind of pass rush since Haley retired… and no, Ware didn’t provide it by himself.

I’m super pumped about this defense.

Good stuff. I love the smell of sacked quarterback in the morning…

I know we won’t get as many picks this year, but maybe we’ll make up for it with sacks.

We'll be forced to go with bigger lineup for majority of game as Giants will try to pound us. I think we have the tools, we've just got to be more disciplined and able to hold up over the course of a game (unlike Tampa).

Of course, if we can get out to a nice lead like last week, it will be difficult for them to overcome without some success in the air.

Speaking of NASCAR package, Sam Williams gives me big time Justin Tucker vibes because he has great speed but is also so physical vs run.

Needs to get the mental stuff down and other teams are going to suffer even more with the preternatural speed that Parsons, Fowler and he will bring to that DLine.
All our rookies since Quinn came on have been integrated slowly. I believe he doesn't want to throw too much at him and we will see an uptick in reps as the season progresses.
