From the few plays show t looks to me like the entire line is confused, not just Tyron. But there is alos evidence he was not sure what to do at RT. I'd be the first to admit Tyron cannot run block anymore and has lost a step or two laterally when pass blocking but this video is not what I would use to show it.

Just one game but my goodness they ate him alive. :banghead: Not sure what to think, one bad game, not a good RT or declining but either, we are better off with him LT or swing, that's it period.

He seemed to do pretty well with it when they first put him there, but you could tell switching sides was awkward for him after all this time and he was late getting into position at times (likely because he stepped wrong initially with his setup). If we wanted to play him at right tackle and gave him time to reacclimate, he would likely be fine. However, our best five includes him remaining at left tackle, which is also best for him.

Sad how some of you can't see how Dak's performance against the 49ers was mostly because of the poor pass protection by the Oline, bad receiver routes and absolutely no rushing attack whatsoever. The 49ers just pinned their ears back and came hard on pass rush nonstop because our Oline stunk that bad. The tape proves it. But let's blame Dak no matter what since he's the $40 million dollar man.

the sad part is a lot of that pressure was created with 4 man front, while they dropped 6,7 into coverage. so we couldn't even double team effectively or pick up simple blitzes. it hurt the running game and the passing game

Hmmmm...... this might offer some answers to Dak having such a bad game. NO, I'm not excusing Dak's poor performance this clearly shows he was alone.
Funny thing is I mentioned in a couple of other threads how it appeared Dak had lost confidence in the plays or teammates by the end of the game.

you can tell on some of the plays that his muscle memory goes back to being the LT and he moves the wrong foot giving away leverage. its hard to switch sides after so many years. his base was weak at times so he had no footwork and he didn't seem to have a lot of power.
In other words, he wasn't playing with a lot of confidence.........

Who threw the 2 costly INT's that cost Dallas the game???? That's right, your boy Dak "The Choker" Prescott.

I don't think some people realize how much of offensive line play is dependent on footwork.

My biggest issue with Smith isn’t his ability, it’s his ability to stay on the field. He plays a critical position and just can’t be relied on. It’s disqualifying. I hope I am wrong but he simply can’t be relied upon.

the footwork for OL men is key, its a much more technical position than people realize, footwork, lean, leverage, hand placement, punching, gliding.... and what people don't realize, that for all other positions and individual can win his battle and there is a positive play, for OL, it doesn't matter if 4 win, if one loses his battle, the whole OL loses.
