No you didnt, you mentioned 50m but were unable to show your workings and how it effects 2024 and 25.

As with Hilton a lot of those issues were that Dak is so slow on progressions AND he appears pre-set on the play (hence confusion when teams change defensive formation post snap).

I doubt an expensive (or any) receiver makes a big difference. It appears CeeDee and Schultz were both in the top 32 ranked 'open' receivers in 2022 (as per below).

How about putting some of the blame on Dak?
Ok, don’t believe me. There are plenty of articles and breakdowns on how we can navigate the cap so feel free to look at others opinions.

Sure - Dak had some bad outings. But regardless of your opinion on the QB our weapons just aren’t good enough to make a legit run. Outside of the Giants arguably the worst amongst all NFC playoff teams. If you want a new QB why not try and actually set the next guy up for success?

I gave you a link to that CeeDee and Schultz were good at getting open. My main argument with you is that all you see is spending money as the answer (when that is restricted this year with Dak's 20%).

Setting up the roster for "the next guy" is a sensible suggestion, however, to facilitate that in this off season would probably mean extending Dak (which France doesnt want), that realistically (rather than your fanciful 50m) leaves us restructuring some of Dak's money and making VERY MODEST improvements.

Dak plays with what he's got in 2023 and proves whether he's the man to go all-in behind the relatively healthy CAP in 2024 and '25.

Yea, Lamb is a stud. Schultz is the definition of average. He’s middle of the pack for “overall” via the link you shared and literally had a negative EPA / play when targeted last year.

If Jerry wanted to spend he would. He doesn’t so he’s using an excuse that isn’t viable.

If Dak plays with what he’s got next year nothing is going to change.

The problem is there are many teams that need a number 1 wideout who would trade draft capital and pay these guys as well. Thank goodness we hit on CeeDee. I would call Denver and see what they want for that receiver they drafted in front of CeeDee. His salary is manageable for this season.
Jerry Jeudy. He hasn't lived up to his draft billing. It's not a bad idea but he's up for a contract to just as CeeDee is.

I sure Michael Gallup would be the better WR out of the 2 by next season being more removed from his injury and watching him start to show glimpses again of making plays later on in the season.

This league, you now need 3 real good WR's and 2 that are #1 starting caliber. Scheme reasons, depth reasons.

Courtland Sutton is who we were interested in the draft years ago, who also plays for the Broncos, but Jeaudy is more a deep threat and I think it would compliment what we have on this WR corps more.

You would have to pay Jeudy at least Gallup money and most likely more, knowing Lamb is up for his deal. What's Dak willing to do contractually to get him more help? The team isn't looking away from him. But they will draft and develop a young QB with McCarthy here. I'm certain.

But a lot of that is down to Dak. Increase the CAP% should mean he takes additional responsibility. I agree there is the chance that the Jones could spend (but nowhere near $50m) this off-season, but there's an increasing band of supporters ,who, after seeing the inconsistent end to the season and one of the worst half's of play-off football feel that the problem may well be Dak.....and that it's irrelevant as to the roster around him if he hasnt got the aptitude to step up.
As I keep saying, most talking heads kept saying that Hilton was frequently open vrs the 49ers and he was only targeted once (when he was on the field for 44% of the time)......now does that reflect of the receivers or QB.

Jeudy would cost a first. These guys would cost a 2nd and another pick. He'll you could probably get evans for a 3rd.

Historically these guys are at the age where teams aren't giving rd1 picks

It’s not Daks fault the Jones waited to pay him and then had to overpay based off the market. If they wanted to add weapons via FA they could but they won’t.

And again, whether or not you like Dak or do not this team isn’t making a run with this current WR room.
