I mean every single good coach talks up their QB. Have you seen the way Jim Harbaugh hypes up Herbert or John Lamar or Reid Mahomes or Dan hyping Goff? Hyping your QB up is one of those key things you just do as a coach.

There's no way Kellen is stupid enough to come back here. He'll have options, which means by default this is the worst possible option for him. He's already got at least 2 teams that want to interview him.

That is one man's list. We have no idea who Jerry might consider if McCarthy does not come back.

I would make the case that it does not really matter. If Jerry does nothing this offseason and let's what little talent the Cowboys have left leave via free agency the Cowboys won't be able to win next year no matter who they hire as HC.

We forget that Jerry sand-bagged McCarthy by handing him a ridiculously lousy roster. It was like "Major League" in the NFL. Now that we hear they are understaffed in the training room it makes me wonder if the broken down bus to games is coming next.

Seriously, either this team makes an effort to build a better roster in 2025 or they can let the water boys and girls take turns playing HC each week.

Just once I'd like the Cowboys to be active in the first week of free agency, if for no other reason than to show they care about winning.
