He sucked as a QB so if he was "leading" in the huddle, that should tell us all we need to know about his ability to lead a group of grown men.

Every coach comes in with the belief things will be different with them.

I'm sure Kellen thinks the same.
And I'm sure Booger is doing nothing to discourage that thinking he may be encouraging it.

I like Kellen. If he were my son I'd tell him not to bother with Booger. He's a career killer.

None of the coaches are going to matter. The talent is growing thin. Missed first round draft picks. Highest paid QB who may not play like a top 10 QB. It is bad. None of these coaches are franchise changers...especially with this front office. They would need an all time guy who can be a force of change who also has a knack of finding/developing talent. None of these guys are that. Dallas probably isn't interested in finding the all timers either.

Brian Schottenheimer has been a mediocre OC for almost 20 years now. I don't understand why he keeps getting chances. Maybe you bring him on as a staffer to work on gameplanning, but as a playcaller, or even the main OC? No way. And what's he ever done to merit a HC gig?

I could see Jerry hiring Schott as a walk-around HC and Kellen as Assistant HC/OC. The Assistant part makes it an upward move. Then somebody like Al Harris as DC. KM would then be HC in waiting.

I wouldn’t do this, but I can definitely see Jerry doing so.

I think you put that right, actually.

He's quite possibly told Jerry that he thinks he ought to consider Schottenheimer, or if he hadn't, he did so publicly yesterday.

That's a whole different thing than Jerry having told Jimmy that Schottenheimer is being considered.

In fact, the former is what we know. All we know. And the fact that he hasn't already been interviewed should leave a lot of doubt b/c there's never been a moment in the last week that they could not have gotten him in for an interview.
