Bobby Belt: Trey Lance doesn't look like an NFL player to me

Some very nice throws by Lance in those videos, and all of them outside the hash marks which it was said a couple days ago that he wasn't doing. Only real critical thing I'll say about him is that he seems to stare down his receiver every time. Could be something to watch as camp progresses or it could be overanalysis of just a few plays.

I’d like to see more 1st team reps.

They know what they have in Dak.

He is for sure going to get them as camp progresses. I think they are going to give him a ton of reps and make sure he is ready for that first preseason game just over a week from now.

Dude. All quarterbacks have systems tweaked to their talents. Your hatred for Lance is silly. If your really a Cowboys fan you hope he adapts, if he doesn’t the Cowboys will move on.
I real Cowboys fan prays he can be traded.

That's exactly what I've been trying to tell these people. They just don't listen. For some stupid reason the team doesn't want Dak to be challenged. Why didn't they take a looksee at Baker, Darnold, Minshew when they were available. It's just dumb GM not to be looking at QBs every year. Who gives a dam about Daks feelings or confidence!
These guys have all been in the league more than long enough to see that they are nowhere near as good as Dak. if they came to Dallas it would be to compete for QB2.

It could also take one year. You always take the negative spin on this. Only one way to find out.
I take the negative spin because teams that don’t have a promising young QB waiting in the wings ready to replace their current starter usually struggle at QB for years. It’s hard to take a positive spin when you look at the bust rate of first round QBs. It took five years to replace Troy Aikman because we didn’t have anyone behind him. Granted, we could get very lucky and it might only take a year, but it’s highly unlikely. Cleveland gave up three first round picks for Deshaun Watson and so far that hasn’t panned out for them. You still have to go all the way back to Bernie Kosar to find their last real good QB they gave them a chance.

No, those of you who think he is a starting NFL QB are in a trance.
Well...he's not a starting QB right now so no one could think he's a starting NFL QB, even though he was one at a point. He's just trying to become a regular one.

But that was never the meaning that was implied for trance with respect to you.

In hope of getting a player in return. We missed out on running back thanks to not having that pick.
Umm we missed out on the possibility of having a Rb, or knowing this team that still.m8ght not have taken one. Get over it, it's done and in the past no changing it
