While lurkn on some lions forum I found this bit of info:
Their starting LB Durant has still not passed his concussion test and might not play on Sun. His backup? Our good friend Bobby Carpenter!

What is really interesting is to read the thoughts of the lions fans on this....Justin Durant still sidelined at Detroit Lions practice
ALLEN PARK — Linebacker Justin Durant was still a scratch at the Detroit Lions' Friday morning workout.
Durant suffered a concussion against Minnesota and hasn't been on the practice field this week. He has yet to pass the necessary tests to play against Dallas, though Detroit will update his status this afternoon.
Bobby Carpenter -- who was a first-round draft pick of the Cowboys in 2006 -- is the likely candidate to replace Durant.
Still, the loss of the 6-foot-1, 240-pound Durant, who is the Lions' leading tackler, would be a blow to the defense.
The only other players sidelined Friday were rookie defensive tackle Nick Fairley (foot), offensive tackle Jason Fox (foot) and Rashied Davis (leg).
I don't think the drop-off from Durant to Carpenter is all that steep, if it exists at all.

You are smoking crack
Carpenter played light out for us last year. That's all that matters.

Bobby Carpenter is a step away from selling insurance. If he was good he would not have been on the street for so long so many times.
although he did play well in the lions 4 game winning streak at the end of last year, and played very well in preseason ( which i know you don't count). He made the team of one of the hottest teams in the nfl. There may be a drop off of talent, but i don't think it hurts the lions this week. Plus: I believe Carpenter has something to prove to dallas.
