Carpenter was miscast here in Dallas. He did not fit out scheme. He is a finesse player.

He needs two big DT's in front of him and works better in open space.

I wish him luck, but I'll be happier seeing him smothered.

In all seriousness...Detroit is the type of defense where he can thrive. A big, tough front 4 to eat up lineman will allow him to just run and make plays. He's not physical enough to play MLB in a 34, but that defense might allow him to use his speed and athleticism, which I thought he did pretty well in Dallas.

meh he is a little bit more useful there than he was in Dallas but he is still soft and nowhere near as effective as Durant. Dallas doesn't have a big pound it up the middle game though so he can be effective. Witten should be able to beat him up.

...he's been extremely solid there...doesn't look like the same player, BUT he sucked BALLS so bad here no one will believe it till they see it: I know I didn't...they won 4 in a row last season with him starting and beat some decent competition in doing it. Durant isn't that good anyway IMO....
