Bobby Carpenter...

I don't think Carpenter is ever going to be able to turn into a 3 down linebacker which I think many are still hoping for. He's just not physical and doesn't seem to be able to shed blocks at all. However, he has turned into a pretty good nickel linebacker, and that is an important niche on the team too.

Nobody here cared when that was all Burnett did, because he wasn't a former first round pick. Me personally, I'd rather have a first rounder who is still on the team contributing to some packages, than playing for another team or cut and sitting at home watching.

Carpenter seems to elevate his game for the playoffs. He played lights out in Seattle a few years back and again yesterday. I hope he continues to play like this throughout the playoffs.

Playoff Bobby?

You gotta give it to him. He has shined in 2 out of his 3 playoff performances.

Like what I saw out of Carp last night. The biggest key for me is he was active! He was around the ball a lot and actually made plays last night. He's also be very solid on 3rd downs this year in coverage for the most part.

Yes, Carpenter likes the playoffs. I know he played well in 2 of 3...may be all three but I don't remember anyone playing well against the midgets.

Carpenter has saved up 4 years of frustration and will take it out on the competition in the playoffs this year.

Bobby Carpenter showed me tonight that he MIGHT be able to play a little bit.

If he can keep up that level of play, maybe he deserves a roster spot moving forward.

Barbie being a step slow to the QB each time paid dividends as he fell on 2 fumbles...good job.

IMO, Carpenter would be great as an OLB in a 4-3 defense. The guy covers a lot of ground and does a good job in passing downs. I hope to see him in a cowboy uniform for a while.

..if I recall had one or two tackles that caused punts, and two fumble recoveries?

Not bad for a bust.

This shows the genius of Wade.

He constantly put players in situations that allow them to utilize their strengths. Barbie has been a pleasant surprise manning the nickle LB spot. He is way better then Burnett by virtue of health and production.
