Not sure if anyone else saw, but on the Saints 4th and 10, Bobby Carpenter was right there to make the game-saving tackle and as usual was "out of position" without any physical play whatsoever. Colston made the catch, pivoted, and ran for the 1st.

Carpenter needs to be cut. He also took a horrible angle and was blocked out on the screen pass to Pierre Thomas that set up a Saints touchdown.

I think we're stuck with him for the rest of this season. Jason Williams will take Barbie's spot next season imo

I really wanted to see a replay to see what happened because it looked like Bobby played it absolutely terribly.

Colston went up for the ball and Bobby came in late. Kind of looked like he tried to play the ball but again, didn't get a replay.

Yeah I saw it. It was a pathetic effort considering a basic tackle there wins the game for us. We need to rid our team of these types of non playmakers if we want to get to the next level.

He was there, he should've just prepared himself to make the tackle. He tried to make a play on the ball and missed. Not a smart decision. And as good as Jenkins played yesterday, he made a huge mistake in gambling for the pass break-up on NO's final drive. He missed and opened up the back door for the WR(think Miles Austin vs KC). If not for all the traffic around the WR after he made the catch, who knows how far he would've gotten.

I've never seen a linebacker who works harder to avoid contact than Carpenter.

To me, looked like Bobby had position and then chased the play. When he should have given ground and played the yardage/situation. Simple matter of awareness there, IMO.

He also was guilty on the 1st TD drive that the Saints had. The TE abused him for that long pass play to set up the TD.

Was he a Parcells pick? Talk about wasted. But not as wasted as the pick we could have used which was traded for RW.

Saw that play... Thought he was trying to make a play on the ball rather than just making the tackle. Let him catch the ball make a sure tackle....game over

Yes he had some mistakes, but everyone is so eager to jump on him but Bobby also had some nice coverage plays that everybody is failing to point out.

Carpenter didn't have one of his better days, he was out of position on alot of plays and got toasted a couple times(it is NO) ,that being said he is having his best year as a pro although he only plays nickel.

Carpenter looked great in pass coverage...was he worth a #1 pick, heck no, but he is what he is, and I think he's played the pass better than the guy whom he replaced...Burnett. There was a deep pass down the middle last night that Carpenter ran with the guy and turned like a DB.

Am I happy that Bill Parcells hates "stars" and only wants guys he thinks are blue collar types so he can take all the credit....NO, but as far as the role Carpenter is asked to play in the nickel, I think he's been excellent.
