Wrong! The mere fact that Wagner signed a $7 million contact to return to Seattle tells us everything we need to know. If that is not enough "proof" for you then you can rest assured that either Wagner was offered a contract by the Cowboys and turned it down OR that the Cowboys FO had determined that resigning LVE was a better deal overall for them. Either way, it was never going to happen and those Cowboys fans who thought otherwise were living in fantasyland.
It’s probably safe to say that we decided early on that he was not going to be an option. But there will be all kinds of conspiracy theories as to why he didn’t end up here.

So, in summary we’ve heard:

- Wagner’s All-Pro season wasn’t as good as his stats looked

- Wagner was supposedly never gonna sign somewhere else

- We apparently did offer Wagner a contract, lol

This FO just keeps winning!!!

HE decided this. When he decided on a certain amount he wanted, he knew which teams he had in mind and Dallas was way down his list. He wanted to return to Seattle all along to finish his career. We were used to garner attention. We fall for it every dang time. This is how cunning agents can be. Its the nature of the business.

Hey JJ, this is what happens when you drag your feet...................
wrong, this is what happens when a guy gets what he wanted. He wanted to come home to the team where it all began. He wanted to squeeze Dallas for even more than he ended up with and Dallas stayed the course. This was likely his agent floating the Dallas thing to get top Dollar and the team he wanted.

This front office sucks. LVE didnt even have a market for him. We overpaid a mediocre player like usual that should have been let go

Hard to believe Wagner is getting the same thing we are paying the Poodle Hunter.
true but understand this, he was wanting more to play in Dallas and he wanted to play in Seattle. This was the desired outcome he wanted.

This is what I mean. People diminishing Wagner (top LB in football last year) lol. To prop up the lesser player in LVE
You keep stating the Wagner was the top LB last year but he was not.
Still borderline top 10 but not the top of list.

Would of loved to have Wagner but had the gut feeling he was going back to Seattle no matter what the offers were from other teams

LVE signed a 2 yr 8 million dollar deal. He’ll make about 3.2 mill this year. How the heck is that an overpay ?
thats a smart deal actually. Great signing. If healthy, he's more than good enough.
