Great DT can change a game.

You guys can keep thinking our DT play is fine. It's not.

And we did lose some games where DT play was suspect. That first Philly game, which could have tightened the divisional race was winnable and we had momentum and then Philly road graded our DTs into the turf in the 4th Q. We are not good enough at DT and it absolutely could derail a great season in 2023.

Yeah I think our DTs get scapegoated too much. Granted, I want better but when I saw teams gashing us it was our linebackers and defensive end opposite Lawrence that caused issues.

Rush is not on the roster, he was a PS player that was not offered a reserves / futures contract.
Did you look at the team site for the roster. NEVER go by that roster. It is never up to date, NEVER.

Use this one, it is updated pretty much up to within a few hours of any roster move 90% of the time.

I mean at some point if he just keeps sitting there you have to wonder how much he’d cost. Maybe Everson Griffen type deal? The guy does nothing but show up in the playoffs when the lights are on. Would be a huge addition.

Bohanna plays like Joanna. Gallimore is 1/3 technique tweener that is average at both. Ziggy may be best suited for WWE and I dont even know who Rush is. When old Hankins is the premiere DT hope then your interior DL is a problem.

I personally don’t have an issue with those guys. I like OSA though maybe he should be a rotational guy….not sure. I’d feel a lot better about that unit if you go get Frank Clark and Ika in the draft. Not that unrealistic both can be got. I’d take Ashawn Robinson too.

That too lol. Let’s be honest we only know the teams who invested first round picks in DT lol. Nobody knows who the hell plays DT in this league lol.

I think it could be a sleeper position for them TBH. My guess is they are targeting TE or Oline with that pick, but if their targets are gone I could see them looking for a trade down partner or go DT.

That's on issue. Guys like Breese or Kancey might be there at 26 but they are risky picks. Maybe hope a kid like Ika is there at 58?

Hankins made a big difference IMO. We did much better against the run late last year and I think he was a big part of that. I'm hoping he is back and if he is I think it will make our defense much better. We aren't likely signing an impact 3 tech at this point even though I've wanted one forever. Maybe we sign Wagner or another LB to help out. Osa is good but more a backup/rotation guy on a real good DL. I think with Hankins and Bohanna we would be fine at NT. Gallimore disappointed me. I thought he was going to step up last year. Now he is a good draft pick away from being cut. Golston is kind of a wild card. Maybe he'll play some 3 tech like late last year and maybe some DE. He is too small for a FT DT role though if you want to stop the run.

LOL, yes, it's one of the worst DT rotations right now in the NFL (I'd say easily in the bottom 10).

All these guys would be backups, at best, on a significant number of NFL rosters. Shoot, we are a distant fourth in our own division with Washington, Giants and Philly all having better DTs (even Philly after losing Hargrave is better).
