It's not working, though.
At times last year they had competent DT play. Osa was up and down, and Hankins was good when in. Again, unless they had a game wrecker last year, spending a few more million (or a higher draft choice) on a solid DT probably doesn't change the end result.

Great DT can change a game.

You guys can keep thinking our DT play is fine. It's not.

And we did lose some games where DT play was suspect. That first Philly game, which could have tightened the divisional race was winnable and we had momentum and then Philly road graded our DTs into the turf in the 4th Q. We are not good enough at DT and it absolutely could derail a great season in 2023.
A great DT can change a game. There aren’t any great DT out there to go get though

Think on this. Dallas is whipped out. At 26. We call the Steelers. Offer them pick 26 and pick 90 plus Neville Gallimore J. Lewis .
For pick 32, 49, 120 and Demarvin Leal
We draft
32 Mazi Smith DT
49 Siaka Ika DT
58 Steve Avila G/C
120 Parker Washington WR
129 Luke Schhonmaker TE

How much would you love it for our DEF? And depth overall?
I honestly think I would do this hands down. Rotating Smith and Ika back and forth or even at the same time to make that middle and our DEs and LBs feast on QBs

I don't see us getting a good one unless we do it in the draft, on the cheap. That's how we roll -- by next year, maybe he'd be ready.
