Bold predictions

In a world of the bland, the predictable and the proletariet, you can always count on Gimme to make a bold prediction about the Cowboys.

This coming season:

1. The Cowboys grow tired of Jenkins who keeps on pouting and ailing. But we keep him as insurance.
2. As reported in SI website, Colt McCoy's days are numbered in Cleveland as the Wheedon era begins. Jerra can never resist a homestate boy and brings him in for a look as McGoo fails to impress again.
3. Disaster in New York on opening day. Eli Manning smells blood, as our secondary gets used to play with each other and has its growing pains. It rebounds after that game and it solidifies and catches fire with Clairborne and Carr et. al. The second meeting will be a different story.
4. As Austin tries to recover, Romo finds a comfort zone with Dez. Dez catches fire and elevates his game. But Dez cant do it alone. The name Laurent continues to haunt us.
5. The defensive line shows a same ol' same ol' style. Ware does the heavy lifting and keeps it credible. The fans love Hatcher and Ratliff, but outside of Dallas, they are considered purely pedestrian. When things seem darkest, the name Victor Butler will bring smiles to the faces of Cowboy fans.
6. Jerra announces a blockbuster deal before camp ends, giving the D line some muscle.
7. Murray shows why he's 1st string. Felix won't elevate the run game, however.
8. Fans and media will be buzzing how Jerra is increasingly staying out of Jason Garrett's way. A good thing.
9. The kicking game will be the team's weakest link. Our defense will have to make up for the short fields, missed FGs.
10. Despite the growing pains and lack of depth: 10-6, we go deeper into the playoffs. jerra is smilin'!

Do you agree? If so, nod your pointy heads. If you don't agree, keep it to yourself. :)

I'll call and raise you a game. 11-5 baby!

there have been times when I would also think 11-5. But then the beer runs out.

Cowboys 10-6 but wins the division.

Giants will be 7-9 (BRUTAL schedule in the end)

Eagles go 9-7 but Vick will play all 16 games

Vick does not bother me LeSean McCoy does. He was 4th in rushing and also had 48 catches last season. Outside of Vick he touches the ball more than any offensive player and with the 17 TD he put up he was very effective

Vick on the other hand did throw 18 TD he also threw 14 ints

This is pretty bold:

Tyrone Crawford will have more sacks than Jay Ratliff and Jason Hatcher COMBINED.

If I see both Hatcher and Ratliff on crutches, I'm a believer...

CCBoy, I half long believed that Hatcher and Ratliff are purely average (or lesser) players. Nothing special. For whatever reasons they seem to have fan support. I just think that those two guys are hugely overrated. I'll go as far to say they'd struggle to make most NFL teams.

If ah am wrong about No. 9 and you are right, YOU EAT FREE IN FARMERS BRANCH, where the gals are homely but good cooks!

DONE!

1.if romo goes down to an injury, he won't get his job back.
2.cowboys beat giants on opening night
3.cowboys lose to seattle the following week
4.cowboys will play in the championship game
5.tyrone crawford will have eight sacks
6.2012 draft class will be a good one

Predictions for me comes after watching 3 pre-season games.

Both get to the quarterback, but don't seem to do it in December...yea, I would upgrade there. But with a strong rotation, both might be relevant to success. They both are starters, and the club is content with what they present, day in and day out. I trust in the evaluations going on now.

If Coleman and Hatcher end up as starters, they showed enough life to remain in that role. I think the 'rooks'/unproven players, such as Lissimore, Chapman, Brent, and Geathers enter a view as well. They present a youthful side, but a strong rotation.

Here I take a whole view. And didn't mention Spears. I have no idea how the final roster will end, concerning Geathers, Coleman, and Spears.

Next season, I think the Cowboys will, depending upon Anthony Spencer's play this season, be targeting a defensive tackle, offensive interior lineman, and a safety to add to the mix...and that is my backdoor on your comment of Ratliff and Hatcher overvalued in Cowboy groups.

I will agree, although, that your table spread presents the best meatloaf in the area....and the cordialness of the Mrs. is renowned.:)

Oddly enough, no one is slamming me for No. 2. Where are the disbelievers, huh? Disbelieve but it will probably happen. Jerra loves "local" boys.
Yeah, #2 seems totally bogus on many levels.
But you did ask us not to slam you :D

thanks for not slamming me. No. 2 is probably my best prediction.
It has a big chance of happening. When it does you half to say, "Gimme, your eminance and potentate, you were correctamando and I am contrite and sorry and stuff that ah doubted you." then you should mail me a McCoy jersey

signed,
Colt's pappy . . . I mean gimme.

It's a deal. First part any way.

My Prediction: Someone will post a "bold prediction" in this thread just for the sake of making a "Bold prediction" w/o actually believing his/her prediction.

I don't really think it's that bold :laugh2: The two guys will probably only combine for 6 or 7.

1. The Cowboys grow tired of Jenkins who keeps on pouting and ailing. But we keep him as insurance.
Ok.
2. As reported in SI website, Colt McCoy's days are numbered in Cleveland as the Wheedon era begins. Jerra can never resist a homestate boy and brings him in for a look as McGoo fails to impress again.
Doubtful.
3. Disaster in New York on opening day. Eli Manning smells blood, as our secondary gets used to play with each other and has its growing pains. It rebounds after that game and it solidifies and catches fire with Clairborne and Carr et. al. The second meeting will be a different story.
Hopefully, Carr can lock down one side and allow them to give Claiborne help. Replacing the sloth brothers James/Brooking with Carter will be a big help in coverage.
4. As Austin tries to recover, Romo finds a comfort zone with Dez. Dez catches fire and elevates his game. But Dez cant do it alone. The name Laurent continues to haunt us.
Agree, Robinson was the #2 WR in 8 games last year due to injuries to Austin and Dez.
I expect Butler, Crawford and Lissemore to bring some excitement to the Pass Rush.
6. Jerra announces a blockbuster deal before camp ends, giving the D line some muscle.
The D-Line or the O-Line? The D-Line looks good. Crawford appears to be better than expect at this early point in his career. Lissemore appears poised for a breakout season.
7. Murray shows why he's 1st string. Felix won't elevate the run game, however.
Murray just needs to stay healthy. Felix got fat.
8. Fans and media will be buzzing how Jerra is increasingly staying out of Jason Garrett's way. A good thing.
Yep, Stephen Jones has become an excellent buffer between Jerry and the Head Coach.
9. The kicking game will be the team's weakest link. Our defense will have to make up for the short fields, missed FGs.
You're are absolutely wrong on this one, unless you're including the Punter.
10. Despite the growing pains and lack of depth: 10-6, we go deeper into the playoffs. jerra is smilin'!

Any chance you could give the Jerra thing a rest. It might have been funny the 1st billion times that it was used on a message board, but at this point it's very stale.
