Man the Lions fleeced the Cowboys for Roy Williams

This is no joke. Hopefully after the end of the season our front office doesn't look like a bunch of ******** for making that trade.

Dude, the same comeback isn't going to work anymore.

We're not living in the 90's anymore, Einstein.

Wether it's the 60's, 70's, 80's, 90's, 00's, or 3000's, until your team gets a ring, you have no room to talk.

Right now all you are is an embarrassment to the NFC East. The only team in the division without a ring.

They should be kicked out just on that basis.

This coming from a guy who roots for a team who spent the 3rd pick of the draft on this ? :

The OILYtwits got bent over so hard on this one, Bud Adams' great great grand kids are going to be born bowlegged.

The Eagles FO gets called cheap and unfair. Guess what? They're actually smart. They're not going to go out and spend there money like crazy(ex-Commanders). Like when people say the Eagles are in need of playmakers and their window is closing. They find out the season after season, the Eagles remain contenders, and they're not going away.

Yea, they're so smart they're ringless.

The Beagirls are nothing but an average team who once in a while the sun shines on just like a it shines on a dog's butt..

Only the dog's butt, unlike Filthadelphia, is at least good for some things.

Yeah, they're geniuses.

Geniuses who happen to have never won a championship.

Brilliant.

Who's the quarterback in two years when McNabb is done? Kolb?!?!?

Who's the running back when Westbrook finally breaks down for good?

Don't even get me started on the receivers.

They can spend money wisely and not be 'the Commanders'.

But they don't.

In fact, they lowball their own productive players to the point where they no longer want to play there and continue to pocket your money.

If you're satisified with a team that 'makes the playoffs' with no chance at a championship, that's your choice.

You keep handing over your money while Jeff Lurie pockets the surplus cash he doesn't spend to field the best possible team.

That's your choice.

I dont understand what the holdup is with any team that needs a WR. I would do the deal in a minute. If the eagles get him it is all over. Jerry should be on the phone right now!!!!

Sal Pal said the Cards are willing to do it for a 2nd and maybe a player. it's not for just a 2nd round pick

Sal Pal = Eagles homer. He wishes the Cardinals would trade Boldin to Sillydelphia for a roll of athletic tape and a ball-tap.

Yet again, the Eagles attempt to be 'the smartest guys in the room' and end up outsmarting themselves.

A good deal isn't good enough for them.

Unless they feel they've totally fleeced the other team, they don't make a deal.

Even when it's smarter to make a reasonable deal that works for both sides.

That's why they didn't get Tony Gonzalez when that was the smart move and why they won't get Boldin now.

Yeah if all it took was a 2nd rounder, they really could've went out and got Tony Gonzalez. But you're right - typical Philadelphia mentality of trying to be smarter than they really are.

Wow, can you be on TG's pipe anymore?

The guy isn't a game changer anymore. He's old and past his prime, get over it.

Well, if they just wanted a 2nd round pick, how exactly is that being cheap?

Of course, Winston Justice is terrible, but still.

It's cheap because they're trying to get out of giving anything this year, thus low balling them hoping the Cards are too stupid too look elsewhere.

Fortunately the Cards aren't stupid enough for that.

Well, the Cardinals can take it or leave it.

The Eagles aren't going to kiss their feet for Boldin.

They'll leave it and get a much better deal from someone else. I'm sure it won't hurt their feelings that the Eagles want to be cheap. Poor McNabb, just think of what he could have done in his career if his FO hadn't been cheap *******s and had gotten him some playmakers at the receiving end of things.

Not getting TG wasn't a big deal.

TE isn't a position that the Eagles are in deperate need of.

Please. You don't have a TE. Celek had one flash in the pan, against a poor Cards D, and now the Eagles fans are going to act like he's a stud.

Timbo2st;2744407 said:
Yes, Celek is the answer at TE. He's young and an upgrade over LJ Smith.

But getting a TE isn't going to make any team that much more of a contender. TE is the least important position on offense.

#1: You'd be an upgrade over Smith. Smith sucked, badly.

#2: I disagree completely that TE is the least important part of the offense.

ok, so what is?

Fullback. You can get by a lot easier with a mediocre fullback than you can a piss poor or mediocre TE.

I'd even say that the #2 WR is less important than the TE and the slot receiver.

But then again I'm maybe bias. We've got one of the best TE's in football, had one of the best in our glory days of the 90's, and you probably don't care about them because I can't even remember the last TE you had that was even good, let alone great, since probably Keith Jackson.

Yes, you are right. I don't care.

And fullbacks are 2nd least important.

Graves denied a report that the Cardinals had lowered their demands.

"We've never stated any demands," Graves said, "so I'm not sure how you can lower it from there."

Just got done watching the news.

It's reported the Eagles are offering a 2nd rounder (next year), a 3rd rounder, and OT Winston Justice.

If they threw Justice into the package, this tells me they're really not serious about trading for Boldin... :D

I guess if your team hasn't won a playoff game since 98', I think, you have to look back at when they use to be good.

At least we have five Lombardi Trophies to comfort us... how many do y'all have??

Until and unless you win it all, you have NO room to woof...

You lost a playmaker(a headcase) but still a playmaker in TO.

Romo is still your QB.

And he's won as many Super Bowls as McFlabb has...

Really, don't you have anything better to do on the night before the draft than come in here and run this pitifully weak smack??
