DO NOT want Dak throwing 30+ passes a game as a general rule.
We're 28-5 when Dak throws 30 or less passes.
16-1 when Dak throws 25 or less passes.
The less he does the better.
NoIt is like I am taking crazy pills.
Shannon Sharpe lead his show with the same moronic analysis.
There was one drive that the coaching staff took this idiotic advice and ran the ball 2 times to begin a drive -- it quickly resulted in a 3rd and long which quickly resulted in a 3 and out.
The Cowboys offense is best when they are throwing early and often, and then mixing in runs with Zeke and Pollard. And then, yes, in the 4th running the ball because you are protecting a lead.
Its like you guys want to Cowboys to fall behind running into a wall...then force the Cowboys to start throwing exclusively because Dallas is down.
It is the same moronic approach Eagles fans want to take with Jalen Hurts and their offense. Everytime the Eagles throw 2x in a row their fanbase freaks out *****ing about running the ball. Yet everyone with two eyes can see, the most effective way for the Eagles to score, and move the ball, is for the Eagles, like Dallas, to pass early and often, mix in some runs...and then late in games...run all over you.
Will throwing the ball more early result in turnovers? Possibly, but so can running the ball too. And you would much rather Dallas put up points turning over the ball...than consistently going 3 and out with some BS offense that tries to run the ball all the time.
Once again the run/pass ratio got all wonky in a game. Once again, the Cowboys struggled and had to pull one out at the end.
I just don't understand what Big Mike and Kellen are thinking.
Hell, we threw on the first 4 or 5 plays of the game. RUN THE DAMN BALL!!!!!!!!!!!
This is also not just a Cowboys thing. Throwing 35/40+ times a game is usually a bad sign for any team.
Especially when that QB is throwing to a 23.9 QBR
