Bought a new laptop!

Graphics card is bad.

Don't upgrade ram, save the money and try to get a machine with a better GFX chip, you'll get more of an upgrade in performance.

Got a Toshiba satelite myself a couple of years ago. Very good machine. Graphics are no big deal unless you are heavy into games or such. How much was it?

I got it for $799 at bestbuy. Searched online everywhere for a cheaper price but couldn't find one. I dont like screens bigger than 14.1" and don't play games on computers either so I dont have a need for a better graphics card. My big thing was that I wanted the i5 processor.

Not a fan of Toshiba. Had a laptop several years ago and when it started showing problems we called them, they said our problem "wasn't possible" and ignored it. It was still under warranty. Shortly after the warranty expired and the problem persisted, the computer died completely following an instance of our previous problem.

What was the problem?

It was something to do with the power cord falling out (which it did very easily) and causing the computer to crash.

Our HP has issues with the power cords not lasting, and the battery has completely died and will not charge.
