Bowers not doing us any favors - unimpressive pro day

If he needs microfracture surgery, the question is. At what point *WOULD* you draft him if he was in a free-fall?

2nd round? second day? If the guy recovers fully, he will be a really good player.

2nd round.

You wonder if he goes into free fall if the Pats wouldn't take a shot at him since they have 3-4 picks in the first two rounds.

If it's Microfracture Surgery, he's going to fall a lot further then 2nd round. That procedure is not a sure thing. A lot of guys who have that don't recover from it. If that turns out to be the case, he's probably a 2nd day pick at best and it could be worse then that. Hate to hear that for him.

This is where scouting is extremely important. Here you have a guy who has been considered a top 5 player the entire year. He's injured and you know he's not going to show as well as he could have had he been healthy. The real question here is if the injury is such that it will prevent him from getting back to the player he was before.

Amen. If this guy is as good as everyone says, I don't see why this would make a huge difference. Makes no sense that recovering from a meniscus would cost him millions of dollars... That's not a long term problem.

Been wondering to those who have seen him... Could he lose 10 lbs and be a strongside 34 OLB? Or does he seem like strictly a down guy? From what dwmyers posted, he seems quick and agile enough.

That didn't appear to have any basis in fact though.

He's a hand on the ground guy. Even when healthy, he wasn't going to run below 4.7.

I don't know if it is or it isn't. I think that this is kinda the point. Nobody knows at this point.

I heard concerns about arthritis in the knee in regards to Bowers and Ingram. (NFL Network)

I smell a Bowers tumble, and a Robert Quinn rise. This thins out DE in the top 10.
