Boy stuck in a balloon

Anyone else watching this unfold on the news right now?

In Ft. Collins, CO, some 6 year old boy is stuck inside some weather balloon that is rising higher and higher and going incredibly fast. No one knows how to get him out.

Looks like it may end very badly.

6 yrs old, at around 8500 ft right now, live copter coverage...they are trying to figure out how to try to rescue him!

Watching right now. Poor kid. How long has he been up?

I'm not sure. The ballon is moving shockingly fast, though. I Have no idea how they are going to get it down.

He's at 4000 ft. Been up now for about 2 1/4 hrs. They have no idea how to safely rescue him apparently.

It's clearly starting to deflate now.

That thing is hauling butt. Hopefully it'll deflate slow and have a safe landing.

They're saying the door was unlocked, and the boy may have fallen out during flight.
