They are going to need to free up a lot more for Parson next year.
If (well, when) Micah is signed next year it will be a huge cap savings for us in 2025. For example, we saved $10M on CeeDee and Micah won't necessarily have signed his 5th year option by then

Well, for one more week I guess...
It’s for career. His closest competition was Matt Lafleur who he just beat H2H and is missing his starting Qb for a month, so he’ll probably hold it at least into October, if not longer

He’s currently 11th alltime, and was almost top 5 until the slide at the end of last year

Do they give out trophies for that or something?

I know. If Sirianni loses and GB wins he drops into 2nd
Regardless, it was a joke

How many backs do we see, EVERY YEAR, that get starts because the starter went down and the come out of nowhere and do damn good. It is just like the QB spot. Brock Purdy would still be sitting on the bench today if Trey lance was even decent. But he got a chance. A real chance, not 5-6 minutes of garbage time at the end of the game.

Backs are the same..... you cant show jack squat in practice. Defenses are hitting in practice, offensive lines arent going full speed. Until you get game time, and real game time.... you will never know what someone can do.

Ok. So wake me up when Dowdle does it finally. I fell asleep over the last 4 years waiting for him to do something.

Thanks

Ill repeat, real S L O W. he hasnt been given any opportunity to show anything. If he doesnt get real chances, he will do exactly what he has done in the past... nothing.

Opportunities are earned through practice.

You don’t have to repeat what you said. I understood it. I just disagreed because it’s dumb.

part true and part not necessarily true. If he was a post 6/1 cut next year his cap hit would be split over a couple of years and then he would be off the books. It would actually save us cap space. I'm not saying he should be cut, just laying out how it would impact our cap if he was
They would save against the cap according to what you’re saying, but I don’t see them paying a 17 million dollar salary to him to not play, especially considering the comments on the “major problem in todays NFL,” which is dead coaching money lol. This is much more money.

I never thought he was that great and have been critical of the contract, but it’s really kinda moot if week one was any indication. I thought Garrett was going to murder him and he earned a high PFF grade.

If he has 17 weeks of the same that contract is going to look good. Let’s see that happen.

This OL has a real shot to be dominant as time goes along, and as we learned from 2014 and 2016, that can mask a lot of other issues.
