They would save against the cap according to what you’re saying, but I don’t see them paying a 17 million dollar salary to him to not play, especially considering the comments on the “major problem in todays NFL,” which is dead coaching money lol. This is much more money.
I never thought he was that great and have been critical of the contract, but it’s really kinda moot if week one was any indication. I thought Garrett was going to murder him and he earned a high PFF grade.
If he has 17 weeks of the same that contract is going to look good. Let’s see that happen.
This OL has a real shot to be dominant as time goes along, and as we learned from 2014 and 2016, that can mask a lot of other issues.
