Boatright is interesting but would rather sign a guy like Tavita Woodard or take a chance on some injured guys like Corey Miller, James Gayle or Chris Whaley (hold until eligible as IR stashes).

Why pay vet salaries to a bunch of guys who can't contribute now, and medically may never contribute?

I have been willing to give Parnell time since he just started to learn playing OL and Tackle when he came to us. But now it looks like he is not going to be much.

Sorry this response isn't to call or single you out.

Not sure where all the hate came for Parnell the last couple of weeks. Why don't we wait until the preseason games and see how he plays THEN we judge him on something like actually playing football in a real game.

If they don't put him on IR, I hope that he gets a big injury settlement. After reading his back-story, it's obvious that just a little bit of money would be a big benefit a guy like him.

You dont think they can distinguish Crawford eating him up on one on one drills? But you can? Everybody has eyes and you can see when a guy gets beat. And if theyre seeing him get beat that bad i think its pretty obvious to tell.

How hard is it to count the time before the pass rusher is in the area of the QB. It was about 4.5 seconds for Crawford but less than 3 for Bush.

Dont the DBs already have to go up against Dez, TW, Beasley, Harris, Street, Lyron, ect...i think theres enough speed and quickness to go around. Washington's speed wasnt been seen because he was being knocked off the LOS alot. Just cause you got speed doesnt mean you can show it. Practice is not like running a 40 time at the combine.

I'm just telling you what Garrett has said in the past. When they had Teddy Williams on the practice squad, they moved him from DB to WR because Garrett liked having a burner for the DBs to practice against. Teddy Williams was even less developed as a WR than Washington.

It's obvious now that they picked him to cut because he is injured and can't practice.

I've actually mentioned a few times that Free has proven to struggle under different position coaches and what they ask him to do in their first year coaching. His second year under the same coach he did much better.

Free is similar to Kyle Kosier that beats you with technique but struggles when it's off.

Chances are Free will be gone once his contract is up so really we are talking about spilled milk here. Parnell on the other hand is not really challenging anyone for a spot. He basically on the roster as a backup that you never want to use, but you have to have backups.

In all honesty, it speaks more to how poorly the team builds the bottom half of the roster.

Parnell is capable physiceally of being dominant. He may have a fatal flaw. This camp is make or break for him. We just disagree about his play. TBH I don't know what his problem is.

James Gayle is available?

He was an interesting player in the draft. He needed a lot of development, but he has excellent speed.

We see about 5 mins worth of video on each player probably a week. These guys are at practice everyday all day. You can judge what theyre seeing because you see one or two plays of said player? I have to go by their word. What theyre saying is Weems is bad.

Many on here think it's a foregone conclusion that Free is gone after this season... I'm going to be a contrarian and say Free is resigned/extended to a new 3-year deal.

It's that same story I brought up with Murray. Either extend him or be prepared to invest a draft pick replacing him. Considering the holes on our roster, I'd rather spend the draft picks filling them rather than creating new ones to fill.

The reports haven't been a negative nature beyond a single play or two for Weems. As Xwalker stated, we really need to see direction that is being taken, once a different colored jersey is lining up in his grill. Parnell and Weems have been steady, not dominating by reports.

There is video of Free getting blown up more than once. Archer (a non dc.com reporter) reported that he got blown up in 3 straight reps on Thursday.

I'm not sure what will happen as you have injuries and suspect play complicating the issue as well as the contracts/cap space/long term considerations. It's too early to make any predictions IMO.

Broaddus is not a big Parnell fan although he seemed higher on him year before last. I'm more interested in what happens on grass than I am what anyone says including me. The team likes Weems and Parnell but they need to step up if they want a job in Dallas. It's early so let's hope all of them stay healthy and play well as that gives us 4 tackles who can play.
