Think about NFL history.

If the Cowboys weren't the champions then they were the guys that eventually lost to the champions.

What are these dominant teams most famous for?

60's Packers - beating the Cowboys
70's Steelers - beating the Cowboys
80's 49ers - beating the Cowboys
90's Cowboys - beating the Steelers, Packers, and 49ers

For four decades, sports magazine covers featured the Dallas Cowboys, either as champions or the "other guys" in the picture.

I know. Surly somebody, somewhere must care when a team other than the Cowboys wins a SB.

Anybody? Shout out if you're out there.

The NFL is in decline. The Cowboys are the exception to the rule because they are the most loved and hated team. The best thing that could happen to the NFL is for the Cowboys to go to the Super Bowl this year. Or it could be the worst, because the ratings would be so high because of Dallas, it would mask the underlying issues reducing interest in the sport. But, I will take that Super Bowl visit. Go Cowboys!
Good points! Can't argue that till we have more info :clap::clap:

If the Cowboys play the Patriots in the Super Bowl, it will be the most watched game in history.
I think if the Cowboys are good enough to make it to the Super Bowl this season, it wouldn't matter who the Cowboys played. The Cowboys will draw the viewers regardless.

It would be massive because we have on other friends on the other side that wish we lose.

It wouldn't hurt my feelings if the NFL officials agreed with me.
This. I understand the league hays Jerry due to the pepsi deal, but for the $$$ it seems like the refs woukd favor the Boys.
Is not personal, it's business.

Think about the hate spewed to both of those teams. Dang, if you were not a fan of either team, who would you pull for?

35.1 million viewers watched the Cowboys-Commanders game yesterday.

The Cowboys’ win ranks as the most-watched NFL regular season game, regardless of network, in 21 years — since Chiefs/Cowboys on NBC Thanksgiving 1995 (35.2M). The previous high over that span was 34.5 million for Patriots/Giants in Week 17 of the 2007 season, in which the Patriots clinched an undefeated regular season. That game was simulcast on CBS, NBC and NFL Network.

It also ranks as the most-watched NFL regular season game ever on FOX (dates back to 1994).

As goes without saying, Thursday’s game delivered the largest NFL audience of the season. The Cowboys have played in the three most-watched games and four of the top five, the lone exception being Vikings/Lions earlier in the day on CBS (27.6M).
