What about Newman, Witten, Bradie James, Al Johnson, Romo, Canty, Nate Jones, Jacque Reeves, Julius, K. Davis, Barber, Hurd, Ware, Spears, Romo, McQ, Burnett, Ratliff, Carpenter, Fasano, Fowler, Crayton, Hatcher, McBriar, Rector, Abram Elam, Tyson Thompson, and Watkins?

I'm going to guess that you aren't "worried" about those guys.

So, it appears that you are worried that less than 50% of the rookies Parcells goes after end up not making a very talented team.

If that is, in fact, the case, then you must have an easy life. Because it is absolute nonsense to be worried because you expect a team to hit on more than 50% of its rookies. If the Cowboys aren't doing something that no other team is doing either, but yet you are "worried," then allow me to suggest you need to get some perspective.
That is a pretty telling post there Cobra. I think Parcell's has been great at bringing in talent. Yeah, he missed on Peterman and Rogers, but if McQ and Proctor pan out then that is a push.

I would like for us to bat 1.000 on draft day, but I am more encouraged that we aren't just keeping these guys just to keep them. I have no doubt in my mind that we kept players just because we drafted them in the pre-parcell's era.

Laroi didn't force his cut, he didn't fit the scheme being implemented. But even so, the depth at NT where he used to play is shaky at best. He was too expensive as a backup, but man, the depth behind Fergie scares me.

AB is a young talented receiver. You say he'd be a good 3rd WR. He's better than Crayton, who's the current #3. My issue is that he's a decent WR who now has about 4 years of NFL experience, who unfortunately was a knucklehead.

While I'm excited about the young guys in the WR corps, if he had been able to stick, we wouldn't be depending on all that youth to contribute this year.
You are right. I liked Bryant when we first had him, but you can't throw laundry at the head coach and expect to keep a job. Also, Bryant didn't want to be a number three, or a number two. That is what led to laundry-gate.

I think we are going to miss Glover. He was a great player for Dallas and a fantastic leader. His release is the ugly side of the sport.

i agree with you man but Coakley's stats were only low last year bc he went on the IR list, he barely had a chance to play. dont even say you dont like coakley, he will always be a cowboy at heart

I really liked Coakley. However, I am more encouraged by our current group of linebackers. I don't think he fits into the 3-4 at all.

He is another one of those players I hated to see leave. He gave everything he had.

... BP has cut that makes me worry. It's who we have drafted then cut that's troublesome. Rogers, Peterman, Beriault, Green, Pettiti, Stanley to name a few.

On a team that was devoid of talent when BP took over we needed a little more success at the o-line positions. We made great strides on the defensive side, but heck alot of those were high draft picks.

I think that's why we have been suffering some of our o-line woes.

ahhh another fan who expects a 100% HIT rate on draft picks. show me one team in the past 50 years that has had a 100% hit rate in 3 drafts in a row. I will forever shut up.

first bariault was a good player who got injured and couldn't get over his injury. green was a nice need pick based on his work in college to work in an area where we needed help. in the real NFL games he cvouldn't do it...so what!!!! don' tell me you thought he was going to be a great WR. then you had wrong expectatins. stanley was a long shot. he may end up on the practce squad. but this year wasn't the greatest year for DTs specially for 3-4 type. pettiti was a nice kid, great back up material. sorry tosee him go.

so now let me write up my list and we can compare notes

Ware, Spears, Newman, fasano, witten, JJ, MBIII, polite, McQ, Watkins, Hurd, Rector, Elam, Reeves, Jones, Canty, Hatcher, Ratliff, Pepper Johnson, James, Carpenter, Burnett, Hoyte, Johnson, Crayton.

so you still want to compare notes?:laugh2:

man some of you people are un-real
