BP announces - Now we can move forward!

I have been pretty cranky the past couple of days about the games that I feel have been played over the past week. However now that we know BP is staying for the next 2 years we can move forward and start thinking about the draft, FA, etc.

Umm, we've been moving forward all along. If you read what Spags has said, along with a brief blurb in the ST, Parcells has been coming in to work every day & had a meeting with the assistants on Tuesday. I don't think it was because they were comparing vacation plans.

I'm glad he's back, I never wanted him gone and with the massive amount of vacancies finding our next coach was going to be anything but easy.

No matter.....now there is no question and he isn't saying "I need some time to know if I want to come back" The key is that we can be confident....yesterday it was all personal opinion.

I don't really understand this thinking. We really improved the roster a lot in the last year. Additionally we increased from 6 to 9 wins this year. How can all of that be considered a bad season? Most people wanted a 9 or 10 win season before the season started.

You are correct Big dog! I shouldn't have said a bad season.....in fact before this whole BP mess I was feeling pretty good about it. It hurt to watch us get beat by the Giants and the skins but I still felt good about where we were going. But when BP wouldn't put the rumors to rest and seemed to validate them it bothered me and made me think it was all for naught. The pain of losing that Rams game added to the BP mess was just too much this last week.

do most think that had we won the rams game the mood in cowboy land would have been alot different?i was talking to someone today about the miners, and i truly think had they not messed up the announcement there would'nt be near the outcry now. same here, if the last thing we seen this year was a win we would all be a little less testy

Yeah the extension is get rid of media talk about last year of contract. He is gone after next season.

I for one would have felt way better had we won that Rams game. Then when you add on top of that the BP stuff.....I can understand one tenth of one percent of what the miner familes felt like.
