BP Disses Zimmer

You must have heard a different PC than me. BP said that when he was with the JETS, he played the Eagles in a pre season game. This was AR 1st year coaching the Eagles, and he told AR that he was lucky to have JJ. He told him this when he was with the JETS!! This has nothing to do with the Cowboys.

That sounds like wishful thinking to me. You could also read it to mean that Reid is lucky to have Johnson, because his offense has been horrid. Neither is true.

I must say that this coaching fraternity thing with Bill is really bothersome. I hope it doesn't stop him from throwing deep on Monday when we're up 28-3 with 4 minutes left in the game.

It's obviously not a Zimmer rip. He was just quoting what he told Reid way back when BP was still coaching the Jets. He didn't even know who Zimmer was back then.

When he wants to get a message out to anyone, he says "that player/guy/person". He was talking about Reid's first year. I don't see how that can be construed as a knock against Zimmer. When he does knock Zimmer in a presser he will say something like "that Coach has some work to do", then we will know where Zimmer stands. Until then, I'm not reading too much into this.

He did not diss Zimmer. He said that Reid was fortunate to have a DC like J. Johnson in his first year. The fact is a first year coach is very fortunate to have as a dc or oc that is rated as one of the best in the business. A hc is only as good as the staff around him.

I don't know how BP feels about Zim. I do know that he didn't have his security blanket of top staff people with him that he had a history with when he came to the Cowboys.

Exactly, yeah Tuna is dissing Zimmer 6-7 years ago because he knew at the time he would coach the Cowboys and have Zim as his D-cord. and would be jealous.

It wasn't a diss of Zimmer, it should be, but it isn't.

I hope to hell the Bama Job doesn't fill before the end of the Cowboys season, maybe Zimmer will leave for that.
