Some of those picks had good careers, albeit not all of them with dallas. most of these guys are still playing in the league.

Yeah, there are some others scattered about the league but it is not like any of them are true impact players. Coakely was a borderline Pro Bowler and so was Godfrey before his knees went. The Bryant story has yet to unfold.

It is a remarkable degree of ineptitude. Just by chance you figure he would have hit on a couple more picks.

Parcells is doing exactly what he was brought in to do...BUILD A CONTENDER.

Basically, he's right on track in his third year and is making JJ look very smart at the same time. The only thing I worry about, is whether or not he'll stick around and reap what he has sown. Will he sign another contract or simply ride off into the sunset with nothing left to prove?

All this young talent he's putting together, could easily regress without him on the sideline IMO.

In short, I just hope Parcells stays in Dallas past the 2006 season.

That is amazing:

In terms of drafts:

1994 - Allen
1995 - 0
1996 - 0
1997 - 0
1998 - Ellis and Flo
1999 - Dat
2000 - 0
2001 - 0
2002 - Roy, Gurode

Now consider that Glover and Allen are getting old, Ellis doesn't fit the scheme well and Gurode may be a FA soon - if he's not the starter he may be going elsewhere.

No wonder we have sucked for so long.

And exactly my point for the other days argument that how we have drafted prior to Bill has such an extreme effect on the team and why we can no longer afford to draft poorly. Every pick is important. There can be no excuses for well we missed on a second but we made up for it with a seventh. BS. Every pick is important and all the more so with all the misses from the past factored in.
