If Jerry has to choose. Who will he get rid of next year?
Whatever happens, this Haley fracas greatly reduces the odds of TO being a Cowboy next year because, for the first time since TO became a Cowboy, we have a relatively clear and credible description of what happened and TO comes out looking like an emotional teenage girl. It's credible because the sourcing is solid, uncontested, and backed up by quotes from both sides. TO's own words -- showing he really doesn't get it, really is selfish, really isn't a team player -- are the most damning part of the story.

TO acts like he never saw a Bill Parcell's offensive game plan. He played against a Bill Parcells team. BP would be happy running the ball as much as possible. BP even said TO would not get the ball as much as he did in the past. The whole year so far has been a joke. TO talks about respect, but he doesn't know how to give it. I believe it is time for Patrick C. to step up because he will be needed.

Not Ginn, take Smarjda or however you spell it, the kid from Notre Dame. Greatest one hand receiver I have seen in a long time.

But how bout building a dang Oline that any QB can operate behind. When your oline is so bad only a Mike Vick could get something done, it dont matter who the QB is, unless you have Mike Vick.

Hmmm, let's see....hall of fame coach who has rebuilt our team to be competitive vs primadonna, 30 something, media addict who in the past two months has donned Lance Armstrong garb for the cameras, "accidentally" OD'ed, has said "why am I here", and no longer gets along with his position coach.

I don't know, it's a toss up

No decision at all. Parcells stays & T.O goes.

If Parcells doens't get us to the playoffs and win a game. Parcells, Bledsoe and T.O. all go bye, bye.

I think that is possible, but who replaces them and are we better off at any of the 3 places? That is the 64 thousand dollar question.

I say this is premature conversation. The Cowboys sit at a disappointing 2-2 as we speak in all likelihood they will perform a route on Houston tomorrow and will 3-2 which still won't feel good but there is plenty of time to get out of this funk and the signal to abandon ship is far off. Dallas is still a safe distance from the reef but they do need to correct their heading. If they miss the playoffs or limp into them and exit pronto then you can begin to lament a failed season, thus far out of the gates the team hasn't been a on all cylinders but IF things do begin to click i believe this is a very good team that once gelled and playing to it's ability can beat any opponent.

Some of you people are as bad as the media, easily. I have not seen one thing that suggests that these two don't get along with one another or that they don't have a deep respect for the other's abilities. Nothing. Why does one have to go? Parcells not playing to what the media wants IS NOT him showing any sign of discontent in TO, just the obsession surrounding him by the fans and the media. I bet if someone once was to truly as ask about Terrell and not TO, Papabear would be quick to oblige. Just always one angle or another the press is aiming at and Bill doesn't want to have any part of it, that's all.

They'll both be back if this thing on the field can be figured out. Though that's also not guaranteeing that it can be figured out,..TO may just not fit in our offensive scheme and the benefit for both parties just may be moving him somewhere else.

Good post.

I'm convinced 1) Bill is "handling" Owens as well as anyone can, and 2) Parcells is ultimately the best friend Owens has got in Dallas. Tuna ain't enabling him, but he is dealing with him with the right mix of 'special treament' and 'team comes first'.

If you heard the TO radio show this week, with all his huffiness over Haley, both the words and tone he used when discussing Parcells were respectful.

I think Bill has made some inroads with this guy.

Of course, Bill's refusal to take the endless repetitive questions is a sign of his disgust with the media, not Owens.

Jerry needs them both, imagine the blasting he will take if parcells leaves under a cloud believing he was fired and then owens goes bananas next year....

then he is without them both, and up the creek without a paddle.

its becoming painfully obvious to that we can survive without Parcells...maybe he can stay on in some sort of consultant role for the draft, but his game day coaching and preparation is mediocre at best, and so are the reslts on the field

even Dave Campo could hit .500 with these players

Terrell being more productive and winning ball games will cure all this crap going on.
no doubt.

lets face facts at $10m/year TO is going to get cut in the offseason if his "production" stays at the current subpar level (dropping passes, dropping TDs, running bad routes, injury).

it's early and he missed almost a year of football and camp and now has a broken hand so things can turn around, regardless of the OL or QB position.

another person who underestimates the crumbles/ruins in which 15-33 campo/jerruh era left the cowboys after almost a decade of decay and neglect.

we've been on the decline since '94 folks prior to Tuna's arrival
