everytime something goes bad, people want to blame Jones...if its going good, its because of Parcells and his "genius" ability...one guy is making EVERY decision here, and it aint Jones...Parcells would have never come back if he werent getting total control

Well if you believe Jerry, he says that T.O. was a collective decision so that's not one guy making every decision unless it's Jerry and he's lying about it which is quite possible.
Jerry convinced Bill to keep everybodys goat Mike Zimmer, Jerry convinced Bill to try to get us a QB outta that scrap heap of Quincy, Hutch, and Henson, how could that have set them back if the Parcells kid Romo had'nt emerged. So Bill gets his decisions and Jerry gets his, and IMHO Jerry should leave every decision to the coach, the coach has to put up with coaching the players. If Jerry don't like the coach then he can hire another, that is his lone decision.
I don't quite think that Jerry spends time game planning, all though I do wonder alittle about that. I do think Jerry heavily, heavily influences the upper part of the draft, which could be why we have so many busts in the first few rounds and then we seem to have more players from the later rounds have more impact on the team.
Overall I think Jerry is a players owner and the players know that, they know the buck stops with Jerry ultimately and they can run to cover to Jerry this takes power from a coach indirectly. The Cowboys have been so middle of the road and crumble when it counts most since Jerry assumed the GM position after Jimmy was run out. It's a repeating pattern since the last Superbowl, long before Parcells got here.
