He averaged 58 yards a game, rarely broke a tackle, lost his burst, and was replaced by Pollard at key moments.

He's not top 10.

He did play hurt, which I respect, so we'll see if it improves this year.

He probably won't be a Cowboy next year no matter what they're saying.

He is not even top 20 and he is not even the best RB on his own team.

Some of your opinions are just.... Really, really out there. Almost like you're trying to alienate yourself.

You want me to list them?

Its not fault you Cowboys faithful have him overrated. He's not the 2016 Zeke anymore. He was on the #1 offense in football last year and he couldnt even get 1000 yards without some help from the coaching staff playing him 20 carries in a meaningless 17th game.

Ok go ahead and list them.

Taylor, Henry, Chubb, Kamara, Cook, Mixon, Aaron Jones, McCaffrey, Ekeler, Montgomery, Jacobs, Najee Harris, Javonte Williams, Barkley, Pollard, Miles Sanders,

Rookies: Breece Hall, Ken Walker, Damion Pierce, Isiah Spiller, James Cook

Toss up with Zeke: Chris Carson, James Connor

So thats 20 backs I take over Zeke and two more possible. And there are probably a few more rookies as am not as familiar with I would take as well.

Definitely had more of a burst before the injury, but it was the Oline that was opening up huge holes again. We know this as Pollard was leading the NFL in ypc with 6.5 per game during that same stretch.

Don't forget Kareem hunt, underrated rb and I'd definitely take him over Zeke

Zeke has the potential to be a future Hall of famer, because he's a work horse and he's durable. How many guys on your list can you say have that same potential? Contract aside, the only back on that list that I'd take over Zeke right now is Taylor. Most on your list aren't getting the carries needed to be a future hall of famer, because their teams don't trust them to hold up. And that's where Zeke separates himself.

Dont be obtuse. We are talking about RIGH NOW!!

This is not a career pissing contest. The fact that you are taking that angle is actually completely lame for this discussion.

Zeke, at this point in his career is about the 20th best RB in the NFL if that.

And as you pointed out, thats WITHOUT accounting for salary. If the salary is in the discussion, I dont think there is a team in the NFL that would employ Zeke.

Zeke has been an excellent NFL RB overall in his career. However, he’s going to need two big things to be HOF material:
  1. Have at least 4 more seasons of 1,000+ yards. He currently has 7,386 which is good for a six yr career but he’s going to need at least 4k more IMO. Can he do that? I hope so. But I doubt it.
  2. Help his team win some more playoff games. Most HOF RBs have more playoff success than winning one WC game. Having some playoff success always boosts a HOF resume.
I hope Zeke can get those things done and be a HOFer. I just have my doubts.

How are you going to regulate how I gauge the RB position? I look long term instead of being short sighted. So that fact that you tried to get me to stop thinking long term means you see the flaws in your train of thought. How good can a RB be if he has no chance of making it into the Hall of Fame. Barkley has HOF talent, but he also has injury problems. So how good is Barkley, really?

So if you want to gauge RB's without thinking about the HOF that's you. But don't sit here and act like I've cheated.
