I don't like his contract and I actually hope he's gone after this season because of that. And he can take Tank's contract and Shultz's contract with him. I hope all three of those guys are seeing their last days in Dallas.

Ok, so who do you want to replace them with? Not being a smart *** either, I’d really like to see what your plan is.

Zeke has been an excellent NFL RB overall in his career. However, he’s going to need two big things to be HOF material:
  1. Have at least 4 more seasons of 1,000+ yards. He currently has 7,386 which is good for a six yr career but he’s going to need at least 4k more IMO. Can he do that? I hope so. But I doubt it.
  2. Help his team win some more playoff games. Most HOF RBs have more playoff success than winning one WC game. Having some playoff success always boosts a HOF resume.
I hope Zeke can get those things done and be a HOFer. I just have my doubts.
Yeah. 4-4.5kmore should do it.

He should move up the all time rushing list a lot this year. Maybe 17-18 spots, up to 40-42 range.

I want a local reporter to ask him about this and see what his reaction is.
He's still a terrific pass protector and he runs tough. But he's abused his body off the field too much, and he's aging fast.

They have most of these guys temporary replacements on roster already, but they need to kept drafting good and be more aggressive in free agency.

Zeke.... Pollard.
Shultz.....Ferguson.
Lawrence...Fowler or Basham.

You can get similar production for a cheaper price. But to tell you the truth I'd like our defensive line to get a little bigger across the board. 6'4" 300 pound DT's and 6'4" 270 pound DE's.

Some of your opinions are just.... Really, really out there. Almost like you're trying to alienate yourself.
He wants to be the devil's advocate. He tries to portray himself as a genius because he takes the contray opinion. I love Pollard but he couldn't handle Zekes work load and still put up the YAC he does as a back up.

That being said. Bjion Robinson needs to be a Cowboy next year. History shows us that the Cowboys have their most success with a great RB. This team isn't passing their way to a Super Bowl championship.

I’m not gonna argue against it but he’s being penalized for playing hurt. Had he shut it down after the injury people would be talking about him being top 5.

I can't wait until the season starts and we can finally put the "he was injured" excuse to bed that is used for a couple of our players.

I said it once and I'll say it every time:

If You Are Injured You Are Not Playing In A Week 18 Game, That Meant Nothing In Terms Of Playoff Seeding, While Getting The 3rd Highest Amount Of Carries You Had In A Game All Season, Against The Eagles Practice Squad, And With The Playoffs The Next Week.

This would be so much easier to buy if these certain players have not sat out games like this in the past when perfectly healthy.

Every year he's slower and less elusive. That's just the reality.

Definitely had more of a burst before the injury, but it was the Oline that was opening up huge holes again. We know this as Pollard was leading the NFL in ypc with 6.5 per game during that same stretch.
Because none of the rbs you listed ever get a hole.

And i will say it again. He doesnt get to decide. Its on the coaches. Any other take is just hate.

How are you going to regulate how I gauge the RB position? I look long term instead of being short sighted. So that fact that you tried to get me to stop thinking long term means you see the flaws in your train of thought. How good can a RB be if he has no chance of making it into the Hall of Fame. Barkley has HOF talent, but he also has injury problems. So how good is Barkley, really?

So if you want to gauge RB's without thinking about the HOF that's you. But don't sit here and act like I've cheated.
Cowboyroy has been a hater from the getgo. Almost like hes a bama fan.

If that was the case then why did they allow Pollard to rest his injury but not allow Zeke to rest his?

If you're right and it was the coaches decisions and not the doctors or players themselves then they should be looked into for playing multiple supposed injured player in a meaningless game while allowing others (Pollard and Diggs) to rest their injuries.

There was nothing to gain from that Eagles game except reaching a few milestones for a couple certain "hurt" players that played, and in Zeke's case, had his 3rd most carries for a game that season.

Here is a novel thought.

Maybe the coaching staff knew that Pollard and Diggs were more important than Zeke? It will definitely spark a debate. Could be some truth in it though.
