So I should have read article first, the way it was crafted and posted by the writer of the article initially lead me to believe Jerry had said "we were in line" so I was sarcastically indicating that if I was a conspiracy theorist regarding the NFL being rigged Jerry would likely know that it's rigged and in that case it's sorta of like waiting for your turn to be anointed by the higher powers and paying the big money actually moves you closer to the reality of being next up for the big prize so we are going to the bowl boys!.

Truth. And he knew all along that was what he was going to do. He always makes a soap opera out of transactions that happen with every normal team every year. Somehow he squeezes every drop of juice from the publicity lemon.
