Bradford to Eagles for Foles

Being reported in Philly that they have the 10th pick - crazy. They will use the 10th pick, Bradford, their 1st next year and maybe a 2nd next year to move up even more.

I'm thinking of becoming an Eagles fan.

Yep. Great trade for Philly.

They get the 10th pick and Bradford.............. for a bum in Foles and the 20th pick.

Get ready for the Mariota/Kelly lovefest.

I was all ready to laugh at Philly building around Bradford. The 10th overall pick changes things.

I don't understand how Philly thinks Bradford is a bargaining chip at all. Literally nobody wants him

Someone provide confirmation that Philly got the #10 pick in that deal, i dont see anything on NFL network

Think this may be more about Rams dumping salary to the Beagles who where willing to take it to get to number 10. They basically bought moving up 10 spots for $13M with a outside chance Bradford puts it together and stays healthy.

I haven't seen anybody mention that Philly is taking on $15 million in cap salary, while the Rams GAIN that much cap space. Philly is literally buying their way up the draft board. This is a fair deal for both sides. Personally, I think Foles is a better QB.

Yeah I don't think Sam Bradford has any value at this point. He is injury prone and hasn't played. Someone will give him a shot but he's more of a throw-in in a trade.

If this trade does happen it won't go down until the Jets are on the clock and Mariota is still on the board. I don't see why they wouldn't take him I like him better than Bradford. If Kelly gets desperate to land Mariota he may try moving up farther than the 6th pick to assure he gets him. If he has a trade plan in mind with the Jets and Mariota is off the board in the first few picks he's going to be stuck with Bradford. Kelly may just walk off a ledge if Mariota is gone in the first few picks. Tenn needs a QB and although it's doubtful Washington could pull the trigger on Mariota as could the Jets.

What I am saying is, I believe Chip may have a deal in the works with someone in the top five, but I don't believe it is Tennessee. So, if I am Tennessee, in order to fleece Kelly, I am letting it leak I am taking Mariotta. I have a hard time believing a team will select Mariotta and then immediately trade him, unless it's already been worked out ahead of time.

Tennessee is a step ahead of you. They are scheduled to meet privately with Mariotta after his Pro Day. I don't think they have any intention of drafting him but with the news of Locker retiring it now "holds a little more water". Chip is squirming and he'll deal his 1st, Bradford. and next year's first to jump up to #2 when it's all said and done.

Yup. The Locker thing broke minutes after I posted this and my grin got even bigger.

I would laugh so hard if they went through all this trouble and still couldn't land him. lol
