I've seen a lot of people on here wanting to get rid of Bradie James and I just don't get it.

Yes... He is terrible in space. Especially 30 yards downfield vs a TE.

But as terrible as he is against the pass he is the exact opposite against the run. He does all the dirty work that a lot of guys don't want to do.

When we get into a slugfest, especially on the road, Bradie is always a guy that is never affraid to stick his nose in there and make a tackle.

Not to mention that he is also one of the few guys who didn't quit Sunday.

So be careful what you wish for when you say you want to get rid of Bradie James because he brings a lot of value to our team and does a job that not a lot of guys want to do week in and week out.

There isn't a player on this team that doesn't have a couchcoach or two screaming in vain for their head.

When I see people on this forum seriously suggesting that we need to get rid of 30+ players out of our 53.....I don't know whether to laugh or cry. Delusion on this forum isn't bogarted by us homers. There is plenty to go around.

Bradie James, as flawed as he is, is NOT a primary reason this team is losing. Nor is he a primary concern for us to remove.

I agree. I think it is simple if you feel that new coaches are coming in next season then let them determine which players fit what they are looking for.

Bradie is fine for what he is. He's a 2 down thumper who should be pulled on nickel downs. That he's covering TEs 40 yards down field is a reflection on Wade's scheme and how none of the young LBs have stepped up to claim the nickel job. If Bradie James were released tommorrow a Bill Belichick picks him up immediately and plugs him into a role specifically taylored for him.

He's also one of the few players on the team who actually attempts to tackle people rather than hit them.

Exactly.

....and that is a terrific example of what I feel is the primary issue with this team.

Sure, the players aren't executing as well as they should.....but they simply aren't being put in a position to do so. How many times have we seen our castoffs move on to another team and have much greater success recently?

IMO, you could take 45 of our 53 and make them **** good players when put in the right position. Our coaches just aren't doing it here.

I think Wade never trusted Williams or Lee enough and thats why we have kept Bradie and Keith out there so much on passing downs this year.

Nobody want to say it but this team misses Bobby Carpenter this year. Unbelievable I know.

I think Lee missing so much time in camp is the reason he is not seeing much time.

It's November 2nd. Thats not the reason.

He's just not ready for the big leagues.

I'm not saying he is ready but he has been dealing with allot of injuries from the get go and that does stunt your growth as a player. We went through this with BP fans have their time frame and coaches have theirs and seldom do the 2 coincide with each other.

But he is the Dez Bryant of the defense.. Right?

Has Dez not dealt with injuries all year?

Did we not desperately need someone to fill in for our starters when our games mattered?

He is just not ready and when he gets into the mix he is getting ping pong'd.

We'll see what he does next year with an NFL offseason. Im a Sean Lee skeptic I admit.

I just haven't seen anything that makes me go wow except in the 4th quarter of a preseason game against guys who aren't in the league now.

I never said he was the Dez on defense. For me the majority of rookies who come into camp I doesn’t put major expectation on them from the get go. Every once in a while a guy like Dez comes in and shows major league talent right off the bat but more times than not that does not happen. My hope for Lee is that he will develop into a top notch LB for the Cowboys we will see.

The Cowboys themselves put major expectations on Sean Lee.

He may or may not end up being a really good player. But he wasn't a top 16 player in last years draft and the best MLB to come out since Patrick Willis.

Anytime you draft a guy in day 1 there are high expectations. Lee is a hard worker by all accounts and we will see how he does when he gets his chance. I do think as we move along Lee will get to see more playing time

Yeah by default.

Heck Stephen McGee may get playing time too. Everyone is going to get a chance except Tashard lol.

I sometimes get slammed for carrying the torch, but here goes.

The problems with Leonard Davis that MANY are just catching onto have been there for 2 years. Keep Bradie around much longer and the scenario will repeat itself.

Bradie James is "just a guy"...always has been. Not real comfortable with the captains and longest tenured players on a team being "just a guy" If we make the mistake of not trying to replace him sooner than later, everyone on here screaming about Leonard Davis NOW and maintaing Bradie is a keeper will replace Davis as their whipping boy with Bradie.

Look no further than Jon Kitna as a voice of reason of what they saw on film and were going to attack. We cannot blitz or cover at ILB. We cannot cover at Safety. The 3-4 will never unleash it's full potential until the play of our ILB comes close to matching the play of our OLBs.

This is just real talk. We are 1-6 for a reason. Romo covered up a LOT of flaws on this team. He ain't around to cover no more and we are getting exactly what we deserve.

Almost every teams MLB is a "JAG" though.

It's not a real glamorous position.

Bradie is more than excellent at 1 phase of the game.

Personally i've always felt Bradie could play OLB in a 3-4. Everytime we have let him be a pass rusher off the edge he has made an impact.

When we were running that 4-6 a couple of seasons back the guy was a monster and arguably a Pro Bowler that year.

I've always kind of wondered what he would do if he were allowed to rush the passer more off the edge.

When they get into a slugfest, the defense along with James tucks there tail and gives up....James is getting older,,,,he is at best a average LB in crop of underachievers....If my memory serves me right didn't John Kitna (as Lions Qb) call out Bradie James a few years ago...and proved it on the field?

So you're going to write the guys entire career off that game? Fair enough.

so maybe you MISS how often James gets stoned when rushing the passer? Unable to plow through a RB? DO you recall what Roy Williams (#31) used to do to RBs trying to block him while blitzing?

And I disagree that most 3-4 ILBs are average. The teams that run the 3-4 succesfully do NOT have average ILBs. And again, the truth is our guys are avg to below avg. Not sure if it is because Ratliff is undersized. But this thing needs to be looked at. It maybe time to get a TRUE NT and let Ratliff move to DE. Maybe that will help our ILBs...but what we are going right now is NOT working.
