Brady Quinn in the Notre Dame connection

As a backup maybe. Starter, no way. Too short.

That's your best against him? He's too short?

He's better than Quinn any day!

I'll up the bet to $100.

And Quinn will be a WR before Smith.:D

How many sub 6' QBs are there starring in the NFL?

Quinn's numbers versus common opponents are better. Quinn will be ranked higher and selected higher. Smith QBs the better team. Of that there's no doubt. Just like there's no doubt Quinn is the better NFL prospect at QB.

I repeat, I hate ND, but the truth is the truth.

Me too. might be a #1 next year.

Quinn is all hype, Chad Henne is the real deal at QB

Smith's 6' 1" as far as OSU says. I'll believe OSU over what you think.

Debatable...As far as who's the better prospect.

As far as common opponents...Smith beat Quinn! Better team or not.

As I've told you before...It doesn't matter who's ranked higher or selected higher...Only who's better. And that's Smith.

Methinks you are wearing your "Buckeye" colored glasses. Smith is a fine collegiate player, but Quinn is the better QB any day of the week and twice on Sundays.

Chad Henne QB Height: 6'2" Weight: 223 Year: Jr

The True #1, he was outstanding as a Feshman and has done everything a Qb can do. Qinn is good but overarted due to all the ND Hype,

I think Michigan laid the pipe to ND and made Quinn look like Drew Bledsoe against the Jags.... Don't believe the HYPE

Be COOL not a FOOL

I can go for some Henne-kin

that's my nickname for him now

I'm not at all impressed with Quinn.

In fact, I am pretty underwhelmed with this entire QB class.

I don't think Dallas will look QB early in the draft.

Troy Smith isn't under 6 feet tall. But you are correct, the only other short qbs starting are Brees and Vick.

I like the Sammy Hagar reference. The anti-ND stuff makes me smile, but it's off base.

I guarantee you OSU is puffing those height numbers. All colleges do it.

He beat him last year and I loved it. It also doesn't mean squat.

Here's a History lesson for you. In 1988 USC led by Rodney Peete, beat UCLA led by Troy Aikman. Peete finished 2nd in the Heisman, Aikman 3rd. Peete won the Johnny Unitas Award and was the Pac-10 player of the year.

Peete, 6'0"
Aikman, 6'3"

Aikman, overall #1 and clearly the better NFL QB.

Learn from History.

Booty of USC

All seriousness aside, I thought we were talking about football :p:

I'm not sure about Brady Quinn...but I wouldn't mind seeing Charlie Weis as head coach when Parcells decides he's had enough.

Brees and Vick are both 6'1" which will be 2 inches taller than Smith when he gets measured at the Combines.

I like the kid, but no way he's 6'1". No way.

I doubt we trade up, but we may go after a ND guy anyway.... Samardzija may be available when we pick.

I've never really seen Quinn play, so I don't know how good he is. From the mixed reviews that I'm reading, he seems to be relatively inconsistent, but on the good side.

Quinn most likely will go #1 though from all that I hear, barring any injury or major meltdown. But, the biggest advantage Quinn has as a QB over all others is he's actually learned from the man who helped Brady to 3 SBs. If Weiss says the guy can do it, then most likely he'll be able to do it, and be a good one at that.

But, there is no way the Cowboys get him anyways unless they fall into the top 10 picks, and I don't want that happening at all. I want them at #32. :)
