Why do I keep thinking about the Bills?
I'm gonna go out on a limb and say if the Browns start off 0-4 they WILL NOT finish 9-3 in their division behind Brady Quinn. Book it.:)

It makes no difference.

A rookie like Quinn, an average QB like Frye or Anderson.

All about the same.

I don't know why everyone's underestimating the Browns.

They have the potential to win 8-10 games if a few things fall right for them. If Bentley can play this year, an OL of Thomas, Steinbach, Fraley, Bentley and Shaffer match up with almost any OL. If Lewis regains his form running behind that line, eight in the box won't really matter.

Defensively they really only need the DL to step up because the LBs with Wimbley, Jackson, McGinest... are upper level and the secondary is underrated, especially if Wright can step in.

People keep talking about 0-6 in their division but seem to forget that Cowher's gone, the Ravens are getting old in a hurry and lost their best defensive player from last year and half the Bengals roster is in jail plus they lost their best OLineman.

As Edwards and Winslow continue to develop, I can see a Brees/Rivers situation develop with Frye/Quinn.

While I would not say 10 wins, I do agree that a great many people are fooling themselves if they think that the Browns are just going to roll over and lose more games than anyone else in football.

They'd need almost everything to fall perfectly to get to 10 wins thanks to a pretty difficult schedule but remember a really crappy Dallas team pulled out 10 wins a few years ago.

You had better brace yourself for the backlash.

Bad thing for us. I'd prefer they throw the rookie to the wolves than for them to go with a veteran behind a rebuilt OL and gain some confidence.
No kidding. I hope they start Quinn from day one.

From 50,000 watts of American common sense and attuned to the whims of the Tri-County area, Air Cowboys America from Farmers Branch, where fast cars and welding arts are legend.

Now, citizens of the Cowboy nation, it is plain to see that a holdout is doubtful because he's underwhelmed the franchise.

And the doofus with the ill-fitting suit and his hard-looking sweetie were sooooo happy to have been picked by Cleveland, for whatever bizarre purpose, don't have much leverage, huh?

He might hold out but the Browns appear to have a big edge at the negotiating table.
Hence, no (long) holdhout.

I'd rather he play this year and ensure a 2-14 season for the ah, Browns.

It's good for Charlie Frye; he has one more chance to show that he deserves to be in this league ala Drew Brees.

But I don't see him having the production or the effect Brees had... Frye is just plain bad imho. Then again, even I thought Brees was going to be terrible even though I was rooting for him since he was at Purdue.

If Quinn gets signed, then they will have an inexperienced QB starting in Quinn by game four or five and have him take his lumps. That will almost ensure them to get lit up for the rest of the season.

If Frye plays well with Quinn holding out and not getting signed in time for camp and the like then they will have an veteran, albeit bad signal-caller.

I think Quinn holding out is worse but it's like choosing six of one and half a dozen of the other.

Whether Brady suits up and plays or is watching from home.. it won't matter. The Browns suck no matter who they start at QB.

They would suck worse with Quinn trying to start - guaranteed. I'd like to be the beneficiary of his learning curve - or lack thereof.
