Brady Quinn potential hold out. Good or Bad

i think its a bad thing for us because i think they can win with Frye and with brady i dont think they really have a chance and so with brady holding out hes not gonna be a starter so frye is gonna win

I'm all for any turmoil, upheaval, disorganization and general chaos in Cleveland.

I say it's good for us. :D

Whether Brady suits up and plays or is watching from home.. it won't matter. The Browns suck no matter who they start at QB.

Doesn't matter, Frye will start. Quinn will be lucky to see the field this year.

I agree, unless they make a trade for the GOOD Manning QB, and even then it might not be pretty.

For us? Thoughts?

it's good for us because it continues turmoil in the browns org and hopefully that will translate into a worse record. then again, rookie qb's don't do much anyway traditionally so what net impact will it have?

it's *bad* for us cause people will poind the topic into the ground till we're all tired of hearing about it.

Bad thing for us. I'd prefer they throw the rookie to the wolves than for them to go with a veteran behind a rebuilt OL and gain some confidence.

even the bad manning is better their their qb's combined....ok might be a stretch but come on...its the nfl anything can happen

anything to throw that team off should be done, as long as quinn doesnt come back mid season and inspire the browns to 9 straight wins or something

Do the browns even have 9 wins in the last 9 seasons combined?? ;)

Regular Season

Sun 9/9 Pittsburgh 1:00 pm
Sun 9/16 Cincinnati 1:00 pm
Sun 9/23 at Oakland 4:05 pm
Sun 9/30 Baltimore 1:00 pm
Sun 10/7 at New England 1:00 pm
Sun 10/14 Miami 1:00 pm
bye
Sun 10/28 at St. Louis 1:00 pm
Sun 11/4 Seattle 4:05 pm
Sun 11/11 at Pittsburgh 1:00 pm
Sun 11/18 at Baltimore 1:00 pm

With the Brownies starting off with that schedule, I see only one game they could possibly win no matter who the QB is. IMHO a Quinn holdout is neither good or bad.

Having looked at one of the Browns' forums yesterday, not too many are worried yet about a Quinn holdout; they're more focused on Thomas, due to the #3 pick and comparing it to past #3s (QB/WR), which makes it murky.

Otherwise the fans are somewhat split on who should start, as you'd expect with any team with a "promising" young QB just drafted. Some feel Frye will be OK if the OL is OK, some people feel the RB situation is suspect, some want the future (Quinn) now, and many seem to think Anderson has accuracy problems.

A few are delusional enough to predict 9-10 wins, but most think somewhere between 5 and 7. One poster even suggested the entire season hinges on the first game (at home against Pittsburgh).

And there's the usual sniping between Pittsburgh and Browns fans.

hahah didnt think so but you never know, could use the saints as an example but drew brees kind of shoots that one down

Hey Browns -- don't tell everyone how you had your #22 pick rated as a top 5 guy. You do that and his agent heres a loud Cha-ching.

Here's how it could be good for us. Say he holds out until halfway through training camp. Then he comes in late, and there's an instant QB controversy. Crennell, feeling the pressure from the owner and fans, starts BQ. BQ is clearly unprepared to play, getting the Browns out to an early 0-4 start, causing Crennell to give up on the season, and stick with BQ. The Browns proceed to win 2 games all season.

Hey... a guy can dream can't he :D
